Re: SOC1 09-10 Thoughts and Predictions
havent heard much about them but they should probably be a little above 500 any one else have any thoughts........
Re: SOC1 09-10 Thoughts and Predictions
I don't think they will be over .500, and have heard that a potential starter has decided not to play.
Re: SOC1 09-10 Thoughts and Predictions
ND will be a solid young team, but will be hurt considerably by one player's decision not to play.

East has the Garrett twins back returning from the last years varsity club, I heard Rawlins was out for the year...hoping he is back though. East is not going to be real big I believe the tallest person on the team is 6-1. They will have Toller coming up from the JV, as well as a transfer from Webster but he will not be able to play until after 6 or so games, also heard they may have a freshman getting a lot of playing time on varsity as well. This will be a young Tartan ball team.

After watching Clay's foundation game with Huntington Ross, I think they are going to be tough to beat. Lot's of height and very balanced scoring. They will be contenders for the SOC I title.

Clay lost 46-43, but was up 12 points in the 4th quarter. Fell apart on the press and didn't slow down the game and kill the clock, but they actually played very well. HHS is a much larger program with around 160 boys to Clay's 50, so when Clay gets back down in their conference they are going to do very well.

I agree. If Clay was up on an SVC school, they must be for real this season.

It sounds like Clay more than held their own with Huntington and maybe even should have beaten them. A lot of talented teams at the top of the SOC I this year. Should be a fun season.

this season I think will be a fun one to watch there will proablly be a few teams that are down this year and then there are schools like Eastern , Clay , Symmes Valley , that when those 3 play each other it will be a fight down till the end and there will be teams like East that will play you tough all the way through and the same with Green and Newboston , and NotreDame dont know much about them and Western looks down this year compared to the last few years
Re: SOC1 09-10 Thoughts and Predictions
Just some input from an outsider. Clay and Chesapeake played in Jackson Saturday. Peake had them down by 30 points+ in the first 10 minutes of a 20 minute running clock game. The peake will play Huntington Ross on Dec 12th at the Convo so if what your saying is true it shouldnt be much of a game. Also the Peake foundation game is tomorrow night against Symmes Valley. I will let you know how that goes.

Foundation game last night. Peake was up almost by 50 by the time the bench was cleared over Symmes Valley. They won by 34 in the end. Copley was on fire. Two others looked impressive....Saunders was very effective inside and McMaster hit 3 or 4 threes as well as quite a few run out layups. The ball pressure that Hintz put on the point guards was amazing. Led to quite a few scores on the other end and no doubt wore the SV point guard to a frazzle.

Re: SOC1 09-10 Scores and Standings
Season openers for many of the teams friday cant wait to see how they all do
Re: SOC1 09-10 Scores and Standings
Wow, Peake up by 50 on Symmes Valley who looked good against the Burg in previews. Don't sound good for Burgs opener.
Re: SOC1 09-10 Scores and Standings
Stupid question, why did Symmes Valley and Burg play in previews? Arent they two different leagues? And I'm still worried about the burg for Peake's sake. Nobody shows anything in previews.

In SOC previews you dont play the teams that are in your SOC you play the other SOC teams
