The winner of tonight's Ironton/Peebles game will meet Sardinia Eastern Brown in the regional semi-finals, Wednesday, March 17, 8 p.m. at the Convo.

Eastern Brown advanced to the regional by defeating Wheelersburg 72-56 earlier this evening.

The regional championship game will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 20 at the Convo.

The officiating at the Convo has been BEYOND HORRIBLE. This game was a prime example.

At one point in the 4th, a peebles player drove to the basket, made the shot and a block was called. BUT another official called it a charge. So the reasoning was this: a DOUBLE FOUL. charge and block were both called, and the bucket counted. Please tell me there is some logic to this rule... because in my 35 years of watching basketball, I've never EVER heard of this.

Regardless of officiating: this was honestly the best game I've ever seen. The intensity never for one second decreased. Both teams are excellent and it was a shame that there had to be a loser. Seamen's shot at the end of regulation was just unreal. Not to mention Morton's two three's that made ironton claw back. Honestly: if you weren't at this game, you missed an instant classic.

Yeah refs were way below average. If you put that aside what really lost the game was that last shot which was uncontested. I will say by far that its the best game I've been to. One more thing for the refs....LEARN HOW TO CALL OVER THE BACK. Not once was that called the whole game. I'm curious about one call when Malcom Morton #10 got fouled and got taken out due to injury. Since he didn't shoot his shots he can't come back in right? If anyone knows the offical ruling on that please tell me.
