You were dead on in your earlier post when you said, tonight was a big night for the teams in this sectional!

Things should be very interesting come Sunday!

If you look at the matchups that were played tonight, most of them was good matchups. It just seemed like tonight was make or break night. A few teams helped their cause and a few hurt it, some hurt it pretty bad.

I wouldnt consider Beaver's loss to East a killer or a shocker with East pretty much locking up the #3 seed at Valley with the win. What hurts Beaver is two losses in a row and one of them being to a improving Clay team but Clay's record isnt that good and some coaches will probably see that.

Yeah I definitely agree, the Clay loss could change alot of coaches opinion on Eastern!!The way South Gallia has continued to play, they have done nothing but help there case for a decent seed!I think the one that was most hurt this week is Trimble, ecspecially after tonight's suprising loss!Waterford had a good win tonight at Reedsville, and I think Oak Hill and Southern were already pretty much locked into the #1 and #2 spots!

Do any teams in this sectional play tommorow 2/7?

Another win for some teams could help there seed.

Another thing that hurts Beaver is that they only play one team in this sectional which is Symmes Valley which means nobody really gets to see them. All I can say about SG is we are playing our best ball at the right time of the year and Trimble definatley did not help their cause at all. Oak Hill and Southern I have to agree they are pretty much one and two locks even with Southern losing tonight.

My predictions are:

1. Oak Hill
2. Southern
3. Waterford
4. Eastern Reedsville
5. South Gallia
6. Eastern Beaver
7. Trimble
8. Ironton St. Joe
9. Symmes Valley
10. Miller

Just an observation. I would not be surprised at all to see these get mixed up a little.

5 eastern meigs 7-7
6 south gallia 8-8

9 symmes valley 5-10

You may see a few teams get out of this sectional that wasnt expected. Even some lower seeded teams depending on how the seeding goes tomorrow. It will definatley be interesting.

I believe Symmes Valley plays Green tonight,a win could help there seed as I think they are looking at anywhere from a 7 to a 9 seed.

2 p.m. at Jackson.

I would really like to see SG at the 5 or 6 seed. I would feel alot better having to play only one game compared to two. With the exception of Oak Hill who seems to be firing on all cylinders now, I think anybody can play with anybody in this Sectional. It seems to have alot better matchups than the other DIV games in Valley.

A loss could also lock them in at a 9 seed as well. They havent been playing very well as of late and losing something like 3 or 4 in a row, if they go to Green and get beat I think they are a 9.

I dont think they have much of a chance at a 7 seed either. I think that is the lowest Trimble will be seeded, especially with them being in the TVC.

I am not trying to lobby for a seed but South Gallia could land anywhere from #3 seed to #6 in my mind. They are playing as well as anyone in those seeds!!!!
