Computer has been down...so I am late commenting on the first nights action.

Game 1: Piketon is what everyone already knows and that is an excellent team. Western is way down. I agree that you have to let your subs play the game the right way in the 3rd and 4th and that includes letting them score. However, I don't know about running 3/4 court traps and different presses against a team like western even in the second quarter when already up 40 even if that is your style of play? it was 56-6 at the half?

Game 2: The Eagles gave the Tigers all they wanted and then some. I must give the Eagles defense alot of credit. They seemed to give up 4-6 inches of height at every postion and still rebounded and defended quite well. They held Kretzer and Martin in check the whole night. If Kelly wasn't hitting, the game was over. If the Eagles had shot the ball better, they would be dancing with Piketon tonight.

Good luck to all schools tonight and the rest of the season!
Tonight, I predict
Eastern over Western
Piketon over the Tigers by 20(unless the Tigers break the pressure and put both martin and Kretzer inside the paint to work).

Someone needs to feed those boys out in the Eastern part of the county! lol If you want my opinion of one reason they lost, the couldnt take a bump and finish around the bucket. Only Thornsberry looked physical enough, and not only height. I bet Eastern kids gave up 30-40 pounds per player to Waverly.

Halftime:
Piketon up 31-24.

Waverly finding success driving to the bucket. Piketon did much of its damage in transition and from downtown.

Brush to the bench early in the 3rd with 4 fouls and the Tigers are taking advantage.

Piketon still leads 38-35 with 4:59 keft in the 3rd. Kretzer trying to complete a 3 pt. Play after a timeout.
