Actually, the 6-11 winner gets Ironton, while the 7-10 winner gets Portsmouth.

WOW what a week and a half for Valley. On the road four straight games for the conference title and a trip to the convo: Minford, Wavery, South Webster & again Minford. That's is going to be tough. They have to be mentally exhausted thinking what did we do to deserve that.

Seedings already been made.
Jackson Sectional
1. Chesapeake
2. Portsmouth
3. Ironton
4. Valley
5. Minford
6. Oak Hill
7. Coal Grove
8. South Point
9. Rock Hill

We win play the #3 seed from Waverly which could be Piketon.

I disagree...Valley knew they had Minford and Waverly this week. If I'm the Indians I FOCUS on this week, win these 2 games and the conference outright, get the subs some QUALITY minutes vs. Webster as a loss wouldnt matter at all here and then have everyone ready to go for a strong tourney run.

I can understand your logic. At the same time, I'm not overly concerned. Out of the Indians top 8 players, 5 are seniors and 2 more of them joined those seniors on the football team that went on the road to win their final two regular season games (also to win a league title and secure a playoff birth), then won a couple of playoff games. Granted one of those playoff games was at home, but I think the point still exists that this is a confident, veteran group that understands success at higher levels. They'll be fine. Plus, nobody outside of Lucasville is giving them much of a chance compared to "the big three", so what do they have to lose anyway? But, it can be counted on that the Indians will show up ready to compete, regardless of who or where they're playing!!!

If I were Minford I would be thinking what did we do to deserve to play SOC2 league leading team 2 weeks in a row that has a 2 game lead on there closest competitor Waverly !

I dont think minford will be overly concerned with that seeing how the pressure is on the "best" team right now. I guess we will see if they will remain the best team by weeks end :122249

I have no doubt in my mind that Minford isn't one bit concerned. I'm very confident that they got the exact match-up they wanted in the Sectionals. That being said, my parents always told me to be careful what I wish for, because you just might get it

All clowning aside, I absolutely love this time of year!!!

Man, what a loaded sectional. Peake, P-town, Ironton and Valley all seem to be the front runners right now to get out of Jackson, but it is tourney time and anything can happen. Throw in Minford, Oak and the Burg and you have a lot of wins in the tourney along with quite a few District and Regional championships amongst all the team.

You have 5 of the 11 in Peake, P-town, Ironton, Burg and Oak Hill that have all been to the big dance, with Ptown and Oak Hill winning it all before.

Should be a fun sectional to watch
