Marion-Franklin is 0-11, and they allow a lot of points. I believe they are a city league team. Even though they are winless, you can't ever take a city league team for granted.

They are from the City League. HS is on the south side, not far from Hamilton Twp.Chieftain2009 wrote: Wed Jan 10, 2018 7:50 amMarion-Franklin is 0-11, and they allow a lot of points. They have been a really strong football school for about a decade, and I think I remember them getting to the City Championship game a few times in the last decade. But the "South" division of the City League has been the whipping boy for the "North" division for almost 20 years. Brookhaven and then Northland have had the City on lockdown.
MF clearly struggling. But they will bring a different look than I think Logan has seen so far this year. Should be a win, but my guess is they will have length to match up with Landis/Myers.

Re: 2017-18 Logan Cheiftains
Looking at their scores it don't look like Capitol is near as good as last year so I guess we will have to wait and see what they bring to the table. Looking at some of M-F scores Logan should be able to win by as much as they want ,but it seems like they play to the level of their competition in their previous games.

Re: 2017-18 Logan Cheiftains
Yea Logan plays to a level of their competition . LOL They just beat a very good Teays Valley team on their court soundly , that was something FU could not do . Logan Coaches do not try to run the score up from what I see but do try to improve their " D " 37 POINTS LAST NIGHT averages out to just over 9 points per quarter for the D. Capital play a very competitive schedule and will be as good as anyone Logan will see during the regular season .cbolt wrote: Wed Jan 10, 2018 2:55 pm Looking at their scores it don't look like Capitol is near as good as last year so I guess we will have to wait and see what they bring to the table. Logan did beat a very good Shermans team that has not lost since and could win 20 plus games .

I think Cbolt was talking about MF. Not many can find fault with the Chiefs . I agree with what you said though . Beat a good TV team . Actually Wolfe had only 2 points . Heard he was averaging around 20. Stellar D for sure. Fun watching this group .Truth&fiction wrote: Wed Jan 10, 2018 3:33 pmYea Logan plays to a level of their competition . You are correct Chieftain Fan, I was referring to the lesser teams they play they seem to struggle some before finally pulling away in the end. It just happened the other night against WCH, a close competitive game until late and also Lancaster earlier this year a team they should have demolished! Maybe they would now.Chieftain Fan wrote: Wed Jan 10, 2018 7:39 pmI think Cbolt was talking about MF. Not many can find fault with the Chiefs . I agree with what you said though . The bar for a team participating in the D1 Central District should be much higher than a team that might not make it past the second game this year in the D2 Southeast.Truth&fiction wrote: Wed Jan 10, 2018 3:33 pm LOL They just beat a very good Teays Valley team on their court soundly , that was something FU could not do .

Fantastic win for the Chiefs this afternoon against one of WV's best. New best record to open the season in school history at 11-0.

Tough loss for the Chiefs tonight, both teams fought hard for 32 minutes, and whichever team was to win the game definitely deserved it, unfortunately that wasn't the Chiefs. I'm sure a lot will be learned from the loss. Now, the Chiefs will regroup and prepare for a tough week next week. Tuesday @ Dublin Jerome, Friday vs. Whitehall, Saturday vs. St. Charles.
Go Chiefs!
