NB defeats East

New Boston Glenwood Tigers 74
Sciotoville East Tartans 63

Great team effort by the Tigers tonight! Congrats!

New Boston lead at all stops, 17-14, 33-30, 49-46 and the final 74-63.
This was a hard fought game as usual when the Tigers and Tartans get together. There were three ties in the game at 4-4, 14-14 and 49-49. East's biggest lead was at 4-0 and 14-10 early in the game.

The Tigers go to 8-3 overall and 6-2 in conference, still at second place pending the outcome of Western Pike and Symmes Valley. New Boston travels down to Manchester tomorrow night to take on the Greyhounds who are are 9-6 and 6-3 in SHL league play after tonights loss to North Adams 75-48.

The JV Tartans were victorious with a 60-47 win over the Tigers. Tiger JV drop to 6-5 for the season and 4-4 in league.

Western defeated Symmes Valley tonight to put the SOC I in a three way tie for first, with Western, Symmes Valley and New Boston sharing the lead for now.

NB at Manchester

Manchester Greyhounds 85
New Boston Glenwood Tigers 55

New Boston drops to 8-4 overall after the trip down to Manchester on Saturday and remains 6-2 in league play. Next up for the Tigers are two home league games this week with the Clay Panthers on Tuesday and the Bobcats of Green on Friday. Saturday, New Boston travels up to Mercerville to face the South Gallia Rebels.

Tigers 20-9 after 1, 42-20 at the half, 59-30 after 3 and the final 70-34.

Another excellent team effort! Congrats Tigers! New Boston improves to 9-4 for the season and 7-2 in league play.

JV Tigers win by 8 over Clay. JV record is 7-6 and 5-4.

Tigers host Green Friday and are at South Gallia Saturday.

East beat Green 46-44

Symmes Valley defeated Notre Dame 64-46


Western, New Boston and Symmes Valley are tied for first place in conference, while East hangs in there at second.

New Boston Glenwood Tigers 90
Franklin Furnace Green Bobcats 65

Another fine team effort tonight by the Tigers as they lead at all stops, 24-17, 50-24, 68-44 and the final 90-65. The Tigers jump to 10-4 overall and 8-2 in league.

JV Tigers won in an exciting come from behind win 46-44. JV is 8-6 and 6-4.

Tomorrow, Sat. 1/26, New Boston takes the trip up to Mercerville in Gallia County to take on the South Gallia Rebels! Tigers, have a safe trip, continue to play team ball and bring home another victory.

Congrats Tigers!

New Boston, Symmes Valley and Western are all still tied for first in the conference after tonights play with two losses each.

New Boston defeated Green, Symmes Valley defeated East and Western won over Clay. East drops to 4 losses in the league.

Congrats Rebels!

The Tigers fall to 10-5 overall and remain 8-2 in league. The road trip continues as they go to Beaver Eastern to take on the Eagles on Tuesday and Friday tangle with the Titans of Notre Dame.

The New Boston JV won by 4 pts over South Gallia, improving their record to 9-6 (6-4).

For the tournament, the #4 seed Tigers will play the #5 seed Leesburg Fairfield Lions (7-9) on Monday, Feb. 18th at 6:15 PM at Lucasville Valley High School.

New Boston Glenwood won both the Varsity and JV games at Eastern Pike on Tuesday.

The Tigers improve to 11-5 overall and 9-2 in league, still tied with Western and Symmes Valley for first place.

JV Tigers are now 10-6 and 7-4 in conference play.

Congrats Tigers!

Next up for New Boston is Friday at Notre Dame.

Tigers down Titans

New Boston Glenwood Tigers 68
Notre Dame Titans 60

New Boston jumped out to the early lead. Notre Dame came within three points on several occasions, the last being at the 5:00 mark of the third quarter. The Tigers lead at all stops, 15-11, 35-28, 49-42 and the final 68-60.

The Tigers improve to 12-5 overall and 10-2 in league play. Next week New Boston travels up to Ironton to battle the St.Joe Flyers on Tuesday. The last two games of the season are both SOC 1 games. On Friday, the Indians of Western come calling in a battle of first place teams barring any upsets between now and then. The next night, Saturday, the Tigers travel up to Symmes Valley to tangle with the Vikings in another battle for first place, pending the outcome of games played prior to that day.

The Tiger JV squad won at Notre Dame 39-27, going to 11-6 overall and 8-4 in league play.

Congrats to both Tiger teams! This next week, take one game at a time. You have your own destiny in your own hands. Good Luck!

Western defeated East and Symmes Valley won over Green. First place is still undecided with Western, Symmes Valley and New Boston challenging for the top spot. Good Luck to all!
