just adding my $.02 here...
in a recent 9th grade game at wellston, officials had called 19 fouls on the opponent compared to 1 foul on wellston. these numbers were with about 1 minute remaining in the game.
ended up calling 4-5 on wellston in final minute as they were trailing the game and putting the opponent on the ft line.

An ancient Indian proverb once asked the question -" If you toss a stone into a pack of dogs, which one will yelp the loudest and most?"..answer - "the one who is struck by the tossed stone". Now, I am not comparing anyone to a pack of dogs, I just find it interesting that whenever the topic such as this one comes up, stillballin, live4bball or some other Wellston poster begins foaming at the mouth at the mere thought that Wellston would ever have questionable officiating. This, again, just re-enforces the argument for a better method of regulating the officials in the league. I think that Coach Derrows' brother and Bub Norris ( BOTH FROM WELLSTON) are certainly in the top 5 of the best officials I have ever seen in any venue or league.....period. So don't lay into me with the "you hate Wellston crap" that usually follows a thread of this nature. I just thought that stillballin's post was very insightful into the crux of the problem that the TVC faces.So let's take the refs out of the equation and let the players decide the contest on the court.

now dont take what i just posted out of context...i was just saying there is questionable calls and officiating no matter where u go and i was just using the jackson wellston game because of the seoal tvc statement made by ironman....and assassin what game are you talking about? i hope its not the river valley game because i think your numbers are wrong and in that game a rv player shoved a wellston player blatantly without it being called along with constant jawing from the raiders players...

check the scorebook i think u will see i am right... u want to mention a blatant shove and jawing... now i will ask you about the racial slurs to rv players???????
if im not mistaken the scoreboard only shows 10 fouls....and i would hope the freshmen players are better than that to be saying racial slurs...but back to the fouls...most of them were pretty easy to call...i remember one rv player who caught 3 early fouls in the third because he kept losing his balance running after the ball and would knock over a wellston player...plus wellston was getting the ball to the post players a lot and they were drawing contact on there shots...it wasnt cheating it was basketball...it happens
