the pointers have added a great addition with todd he plays well under pressure and stay focus, you cant forget his teammates chase kratzenburg is a very good ball handler and is smart with the ball imo they need to get the ball underneath more taylor can setup the gaurds rather then it being the other way around but ill take sp in this 1 and all the way to the ship

okayy so if its not sportsmanship tell me what it is? is he askin them to call the game for him? cause if so i dont think the hand shake is workin since hes gettin the $hit beat outta him every game. maybe he should start hugging them. maybe that will work right?
IMO you should stop being a hater and get use to the fact todd has class and sportsmanship, and is good at basketball, and your just jealous!

I don't know Todd personally, and actually hadn't noticed him shaking the officials' hands before, but to hear that just makes me think he is that much more mature. It wouldn't matter what team a player was on ... if I hear/see someone do that, I would think it shows sportsmanship, respect, and maturity. Show me a player from Chesapeake, Rock Hill, or any other school that does that, and I would think the same thing of that player.

you are a moron
And unfortunately crazypointer25, that helps to back up bucking red's sarcastic remark about SP having class and sportsmanship.

honestly ive been to EVERY south point game and NEVER have i seen the whole team shake the refs hands. ive seen them shake the other coaches hands but Todd is the only one ive seen shake the refs hands ..
I have seen Todd shake the opposing coaches hands and also the officials hands before every game. You would think that all the refs would shake his hand as well. At the Peake only two of the refs shook his hand. The last ref didn't extend his hand to Todd. The only boys that usually shake the opposing coaches hands are Todd and Kyle Hughes on a consistant basis. I think the whole team should do it but for whatever reason they don't. Like I said previously Todd is and has matured and a lot of people like to try to bring him down. He is a kid so give him a break. When jealousy rears its head it's always ugly. Just think if Tood would have played last year we probably would be back to back champions. Oh well.

I have never ever in my life seen a player (from any sport) go shake the officials hand and thought the kid was doing it for some other kind of reason besides being polite.
When Todd Mayo goes to shake the officials hands and the other coach's hand, if you think he is doing it for anything more than just good sportsmanship and being polite...then that is really sad. How pathetic is it to take someone's good intentions and turn it into something else. I am sure if you asked any official they would say they appreciate a player coming to shake their hand....also I am sure the other teams coach feels that way too. I know if I was a ref or a coach that I would appreciate any player coming over to shake my hand before a game and I would see it as a sign of maturity and class. I guarantee you the refs are not thinking, "ohhh he shook my hand, i am going to give him special treatment now." Its nothing more then a polite gesture hand shake...thats it!
I admire Todd for everything that he has overcome this year. He's a fine athlete with so much talent and maturity.
