Re: Jackson AD job
Kight is the AD to be and will do a great job.
I wonder how much longer he has before he retires. He's been around forever, but I'd guess he is the type to go nearly 40 years.
Now..the Superintendent, HS Principal and asst HS principal...and treasurer
geesh
We'll get there!

Bob Kight got his start in education at Gallipolis in the early 1970s. He was well-liked at GAHS, and he'll do a super job at JHS. He's a good ambassador for the SEOAL.
Re: Jackson AD job
I can say that Jackson is very lucky to have a fine man like Mr. Kight. He has served the school well in all ways for many years. From what I have witnessed first hand, the entire Kight family works hard. Congrats to the Jackson Administration for recognizing the resources at hand. Looking in from a distance, it appears that Jackson Schools are moving in a very positive direction.
Re: Jackson AD job
The ghost of Jason Snyder reared its ugly head again with a baseball scheduling snafu against....guess who???? His own hometown school Vinton County. He put the game down on the wrong Saturday. This comes from our current AD. This is just one of many problems that will continue to haunt this District for a few years after this Administration is gone.
You know what they say about prophets in their own hometown!?!?

jackson1......Yes, you heard the same story about the Vinton County baseball game scheduling snafu as I did. One of countless ones by Jason Snider.
I will say that Mr. Blankenship has done a wonderful job in his time in the Interim AD at Jackson.
He is very easy to work with. He always lets us know about scheduling changes due to rainouts, etc. and makeup dates or possible makeup dates.
The atmosphere around Jackson athletics is so much better now with Snider gone.

Maybe it's because Blankenship and Kight care.
Good seeing Blankenship down at the girl's softball game today.

Ironman92...Mr. Blankenship and Mr. Kight do care about the kids and athletic programs at Jackson.
I talked to Mr. Blankenship at both of the games I covered last week involving Jackson teams (a baseball game and a softball game). I never saw Jason Snider once last spring at any of the spring events, despite his title of athletic director and his salary which exceeded $73,500.
I was off today, but Mr. Blankenship did send me an e-mail this morning to let me know the softball doubleheader with Waverly was still on. He has done a wonderful job as the Interim AD at Jackson, making my job much easier in covering Jackson High School athletics.

Re: Jackson AD job
Heard that the Piketon JV baseball team rolled into J-town Saturday morning to the surprise of our interim AD. Seems as though it wasn't on any of the schedules given the Mr. Blankenship. I guess they had to get back on the bus and head back to Piketon. They were thrilled!!! With this and the fact it was revealed Jackson neglected to pay our SEOAL dues for the year this week, to say the past is still haunting us is an understatement.

Re: Jackson AD job
Just wondering where all the Snyder supporters are now?? When the negagtive publicity was coming out of the closet the last 18 months, their was a few people on here trying to back him. Now that it is obvious he was an over paid "P O S", I guess they have to admit this is a wound that will take some time to heal.
I know Mr. Kight and Mr. Blankenship will do us proud and get it straightened out. I just hope the schools like VC and Piketon have some patience and understand it's not there fault.

Or maybe they are moving on and they are tired of beating a deadhorse. Maybe everyone needs to move on!

The only "POS" I see is the one calling people out of thier name and they are 1,000 miles and can not defend themselves. What a tuff guy with "keyboard courage" I can assure you these words wouldnt be whispered in Jasons presence. This type of idiotic behavior and namecalling has no place on this site, reguardless of your feelings. remember the person you speak of still has family and friends in the area, and Im sure would be very offended by your childess remarks. By the way that POS sure is making a lot of money to be so bad at everthing he does. I bet you wish you had a little of the POS's $$$.
Re: Jackson AD job
He did Jackson Athletics wrong and everyone knows that. Mr. Kight will turn it around very quickly I assure you because he does everything by the book regardless.
Re: Jackson AD job
The name calling is over the top...but the amount of miscommunicated appearances by our team or other teams is hard to believe for someone so over qualified and with a very competent level secretary.
Andruw Jones is making $20 million dollars this year at his new job...doesn't mean he did a good job last year at his old job.

Perhaps HaterAid is that person or a friend or a relative of that person that is being spoken about. Makes one wonder doesn't it with his last post.
And trust me, I know for a fact, he might be "1,000 miles away," but he can defend himself.
At the same time he is defending himself, though, he has to defend himself to his bosses at Georgia Tech.

I can assure you that I am none of the above. However, I will defend someone when I feel you have crossed the line. And calling someone a "POS", in my opinion, is uncalled for. I know you were not the one to do it, but to defend it is just as bad.
