23 for Warren has some flaws, even if they weren't obvious last night.
Progress for Warren, but they have a ways to go before they're competing at the level they could be at.

darknight -

This website stinks more to high heaven everyday. It doesn't matter what kid's do, someone is always "lurking in the shadows - hiding behind a user name - taking shots at kids".

Can you not give the kid a moment to shine??? Every player has areas in their game that need improvement. J. Hebb is a good kid and a good ball player, he has worked hard to improve his game over the last few years.

I have watched my daughter be vilified on this website as well - for nothing more than going out for the basketball team.

I am done with this website, I admit, I used to enjoy reading about high school sports issues on this site. There are just too many chicken___s on here, hiding behind user names, taking cheap shots at coaches, players etc. in every sport, and I am sick and tired of reading the BS.

First, I was out of town all week a decided not to attend the game. So all I know is what I have been told. But the box score has Warren with 1 assist. That's ONE ASSIST for the team. ONE ASSIST FOR THE WHOLE TEAM!

Is this high school basketball?!

Warriors need to start playing team ball or it's going to be a long season. I mean a loooong season. You can't win as individuals. All of you are good, but none of you are THAT good.

ZvilleBlueDevil and Hoopster, I don't know what game you were watching Friday night, but Warren is a good ball team. There are teams in the S.E.A.O.L that can play the game. Warren is not a Div.I wanta be. How many more excuses can you come up with? And by the way,if you were to give Warren 23 FTs,and Zville 7FTs,Warren would have won by 20. So get off your high horse and quit charging $2.00 for parking, $6.00 admission, $4.00 for a program, and start riding a school bus, instead of your tour bus, this is not the NBA. PLEASE!!!!

And for you stat keepers out there,Warren had 4 assists,7 steals, and only 10 turnovers. Defense does win games.

The Marietta Times was the source for the 1 assist stat. So, the Warriors may have had more? Maybe as many as FOUR assists?! Oh, well they'll be fine then . . .

. . . yikes.

Wow some animosity from those folks in Vincent. D1 wanna be's huh that is rich, I guess after the woodshed beatings you guys have taken the last couple of years it could be frustrating. I was at both games this weekend and the fact of the matter is if Zanesville had played on Friday the way they did on Saturday against Newark it would have been a 20+ pt victory.
To be completely honest there were far too many fouls called in both directions on Friday. I really don't like seeing officials dictate the pace of the game.
#23 and #44 were nice players and Warren definitely won in terms of fight on Friday. They are a solid team and will be strong and battle tested come Tournament time, but they are not there yet.
This young Zanesville team is not there either but will only improve and I can't wait to see how it affects the game next time we match up. But to get to a point made that is absolutely shameful and shows the lack of intelligience people have in their posts on here. Zanesville charges to park because by OHSAA guidelines if they don't charge during the season they can't charge during the Tournaments when we host 10-12 games in D2 boys and girls sectional and district games. Second the average ticket cost this year in Ohio for High School basketball is at $6 so maybe we should be pointing that finger toward Columbus at "the powers that be" (same people who asked each high school who participated in foundation game to give the OHSAA $250) and not towards one school.
Final point before I quit giving credit to posters who are full of anger and lacking knowledge is the bus trips are paid for by the basketball boosters. They spend a lot of time during the year raising money for the program so that when we travel like we do from Massilon to Portsmouth to Wheeling we don't have to worry about breaking down on a school bus. The money that would be going towards paying for a bus, bus driver, and fuel on our aging school busses is used to help the cost of the charter and the boosters pick up the rest. We appreciate the time and passion that our kids put into the game and the coaches and players appreciate the fact we do what we do for them to be comfortable.
So maybe you should get off the internet chat room and try to raise some money for your kids and quit worrying about what others are doing.

it definitly wasn't the same zanesville team i am used to seeing...i don't think they were 5 points better than warren let alone 20 points...it was nice to see a true warrior defense for once...i was inpressed with the way the warriors handled the big guy...i thought they forced some pretty ugly shots from him...i think if the warriors offense would have been a little more patient then it would have been a different ball game...i was nice to hear coach erogant i mean aronhalt tell warrens coach that if it weren't for the refs it would not have been close...man its always nice to see class an sportsmanship...

I can possibly see the gate fee ... and the parking fee .... but 4.00 for a program that cost less than 25 cents to print , now if that isnt gouging ... what is ? It's just not your school , it's everywhere .... 2.00 would be a plenty
