Actually, I think it was 2003. Too long, this group of boys can do it, they've got a lot of heart and talent. I think it will be a close game. I can't wait.

Peebles is much improved but North Adams has owned them the past 8 years. It is hard to get that monkey off your back. Good Luck peebles But North Adams will win again. To be the team you have to beat the team.

Peebles owned everyone in several counties for way more than 8 years. The tide is turning.

Despite most NA supporter's belief that their team cannot be beat, Peebles is going to give them all they can handle. They won't lay down and just give it to them. The last game Peebles was definitely not on top of their game and it still came down to the last five minutes of the ballgame where it could have went either way.

Don't count the Indians out my friends!!

Rooster,

I don't think that your statement that NA fans don't think their team can be beat is true or has any validity whatsoever. I believe that the NA fans are smart enough to know that this is high school basketball and anyone can be beat by anyone on a given night. And to your statement that Peebles was not on the top of their game, I think everyone knows that by now. Plenty of people have already made that known in this thread and others. But I don't think you really know the potential of NA. I have played with these boys and if Unger and Jimison are hitting and Carter Nehus and Tyler Rothwell actually rebound and pick up trash points like they do in practice, they are pretty tough to beat. Everyone on here is talking about how good Peebles would be if everyone was playing to their potential, but no one looks at the potential of NA. NA has definately not played their best basketball. And if they start, they will roll.

stephen3108,

I was mainly referring to the NA supporters in this and related blogs who come across as believing NA is unstoppable, not all NA fans. Thank you for recognizing that in the SHL anything can happen on any given night. I am certainly not taking anything away from the NA boys, they are tough and they've shown it! My point is that Peebles has great talent and should not be discounted. I for one would like to see both teams play their level best tomorrow night!

I'm another NA fan that takes nothing for granted for tomorrow night. Both teams are very talented and either is capable of winning this game. The main edge I see for North Adams is Kraig Unger. This young man is capable of changing a game in many different ways and right now I don't think there is a better all round player in the SHL.

I totally agree that Peebles shouldn't be counted out and I honestly think that many of the posters on here recognize that they can be a force. But my point still is that all the Peebles fans sayin North Adams has played their best basketball are wrong. Totally and completely. Talk to Coach Young and he will tell you that they haven't given their best effort for a complete game. They always give 110% don't get me wrong, but haven't played at the level they are capable of if they show up to play for 4 quarters. I also agree that Kraig Unger can take over a game and is the best player in the SHL right now. Justice or Seaman may be next year but you have to take Unger over them right now.

I agree Opie, it would be great to see both teams at their best. Anyone remember the big 5 OT game against Peebles and NA in NA's old gym. Standing room only, so hot you couldn't breathe, back in the mid 80's I believe.

I hear the line is already around the side of the school to get in tonight and that PHS fans are camping out? Any truth to that, LOL?

It should be a great game this evening with a full house, plus a few hundred on top of that. I heard that North Adams is also going to open up the end of the court facing the cafeteria like Peebles does to help accommodate the overflow crowd.

No doubt there is a lot of anticipation from this re-match of less than two weeks ago.

Good luck to the Indians and come away with the win !!

I wouldn't be surprised bucknut 23. I hope to see the days of the big crowds/packed houses return. As someone said in the documentary about Peebles, you looked forward to game night all week. That's where you were and what you did. Pretty much everything else was shut down. Love to see us get back to those days and I think we're heading there!
