great job shs. i agree the officials were very fair..the only questionable call: the "jump ball" when it was clear wahama wanted the foul & the player grabbed from behind to get the ball brown was holding.

great game to watch, just glad southern came out on top after a game and a half. if southern would have played with the same intensity at the begining as the second half of the 4th quarter there would have been NO overtimeS!! great way to come from behind and fight!!!! ;-) ;-)

Southern 76 3 OT
Wahama 74

Southern 12 15 9 21 4 6 9 76
Wahama 13 19 13 12 4 6 7 74

Wahama led 49-36 early in the fourth and then Southern goes on a 14-0 run to take a 50-49 lead. After that, the most exciting end to a game I've ever seen.

Night of "buzzer beaters"

Zach Whitlatch hits a three at the end of regulation to tie the game for Wahama.

Brandon Flowers hits a three at the end of the second OT to send it to the third OT for Wahama.

Bryan Harris hits a three at the end of the third OT to win it
for Southern.

Southern 76

Bryan Harris 20
John Brauer 19
Weston Roberts 14
Michael Manuel 10
Brad Brown 7
Sean Coppick 6

Wahama 74

Zach Whitlatch 20 (6 threes)
Brandon Flowers 20
Kyle Zerkle 11
Willaim Zuspan 11
Garrett Underwood 8
Isaac Lee 3
Matt Arnold 1

JV Score

Southern 66
Wahama 51

I honestly feel like they had WaterFord lag. They played very well Friday night. That takes something out of you.

Also, great job Hardfowl and your partner do well. I do miss the "other" partner's work, but the replacement is doing fine. It is so appreciated the work and coverage put forth.

Now, if we can get "the Frog" to carry Reds games. ;-)

I also listened to this game and what a great game it was. Had me setting on the edge of my chair. Wish I would have been there.

All you can say is, that game was a CLASSIC. If you were there it will be a game you will always remember. Good job both teams. Now bring on the Miller Falcons.

These are the kind of threads that really anger me. The team this year is excited to pull off a triple overtime "THRILLER" over a totally hapless program like Wamaha. They are 1-9 now for pete sake. We would have beat that team by 30 points. And you guys wonder why I start threads about the 80 and 82 teams. there is nothing on here worth talking about when it comes to Southern basketball.

That's the problem I have too Chuck. But when the players get on here and mouth each other and run their mouths about beating sub par teams this is what happens. Every game is a potential loss. What ever happened to just playin hard and keepin your mouth shut?

For once you make a ton of sense!!! Your accomplishments DO speck for themselves. And in you own words "nuff said"...if they speak for themselves that means you can stop reminding everyone.

Maximus-

When pontificating on past purple pride performances please use correct spelling and alliteration. What is this "speck" you SPEAK of?

Wahama may be 1 and....... but didn't play like it. That's why the games are played and not predicted. Seems most on here thought it was a good, exciting game.
