Well if South Point can win their first one and then beat Ironton, you may be right. They have to be smarting after ironton knocked them out last year. I see some real good matchups in this sectional and district.
Possible:
Ironton vs. South Point
Ironton vs Piketon?

South Point vs Ironton would be the game to see, especially after last year! Id say SP takes it if this were to happen

The Waverly sectional will be a bear. A 9-7 #11 seed? get ready for some dandy b'ball.

Ironton is playing well right now. Just destroyed Portsmouth. Ironton vs. Piketon would be a good one. Definately will make that one if it pans out.

I hear ya main man , I think the confidence is down for the trojans right now. Once the lights come on down in Waverly, I think you'll see a different team with focus.

At the sectional I like: In Waverly

#5 Westfall over #4 Valley

#2 Piketon over #7 Adena

#9 Portsmouth over #1 North Adams

#6 Zane Trace over #3 Peebles

Just because they are "seeded" higher, doesnt make a team better. Seedings are many times very political and this year it seems it is very much so. This year it was more of the same. The system is a joke. Ironton a number 3 seed? That is laughable. I guess the games will be played and we will see what we shall see.

would be interesting to know how the voting went on the top 4 seeds for the DIII at jackson. 2 loss alex, peake 3 loss and i think arnton and burg both with 4 loss..... in head to head regular season arnton beats peake, peake beats burg and burg beats arnton.... im sure this all made for very interestting tourney meeting.

I doubt there were too many words in that meeting. The whole setup is stupid and very political. You have all of the OVC voting together and all of the TVC voting together. Ironton and Burg are screwed. What you need is for the leagues to be divided up into both sectiional, so you can have an honest voting procedure. Ironton beats Chesapeake at Chesapeake without one of if not their own best player, beats Chillicothe, portsmouth twice, gallia Twice, jackson twice, ashland, Russell and...yes Chesapeake did beat Burg...but after the way the Burg has played lately, is that turning into a big feat? Again, i believe Burg beat Ironton, while ironton did not have Lamb.
Chesapeake did win the vaunted St Joe toruny for about the 25th time. It is a joke.

Alexander deserved the #1, ironton deserved the #2 and then maybe Peake #3.

i dont think alex deserve the 1... who hae they beat.... i really dont know who they have beat outside the tvc.
i've been to those meetings a coupel times and had it put to me. you are absolutely right how they work. it is not right.
looks like there could be some kind of point system used similar to what fb uses.

I don't think Alex deserved the #1 either. I think Ironton is the team that could see the Final 4. The other top teams in this sectional are tough to predict, they have high ceilings but not sure they can win the biggest games.
