Peebles vs. Green 2/17
Re: Peebles vs. Green 2/17
I might of hit a nerve.Let Peebles go into the tourney 6 maybe 7(?) deep and see how far they get.I remember last year the boys were worn out in the 2nd quarter against Ironton. What did Ironton do?They rotated players and ended up playing 10 different players.Does this remind you of anybody? It does me (N.A. and Alexander).Something to think about.P.S. What time does practice start?
Re: Peebles vs. Green 2/17
That makes 2 of us and we're among the minority, ha. No point arguing, sounds like we are both fans and I don't totally disagree with you. You are right, that is why a team like NA can push past you down the stretch, fresher legs. Not arguing that point, I just don't see on this bench past about 7 or 8 that there's room for more than a couple minutes or so.
Go Indians!

I'm always proud of the boys, they looked like they were really relaxed and having fun last night. I thought maybe it was too much keeping Blake in the whole time, but I know its so he can get his points. But man if he or one of the other starters would've been hurt when we were already up by 31 at the half, everyone would've been upset and it would have been senseless. But luckily it wasn't a physical game and everyone's healthy.
I did feel bad for the Green boys, they have really had a tough year with the whole coach drama, switching coaches midseason. I didn't think we need to stomp them in the ground. When the starters (except Seaman) went back in the game in the fourth quarter I cringed and looked at Green's coach. I just thought it wasn't something I would want to happen if it were my kids. #35 was hot on the threes and it was a nice moment when our crowd recognized him.
Evan Meade and Eric C. needed the playing time. Nate has been on fire and he has had opportunity the last couple of games to really shine and show everyone that he is a real asset to this team. It was fun to watch him last night.

I was always under the impression that nobody knows the players like the coach. He spends many hours with them and usually knows their limits and abilities. I especially think this might be true when you have a coach with the experience that Coach Lawhorn has. Just an observation. And also I was wondering if all you guys are parents or just fans

Just a fan. I'm not questioning Coach Lawhorn, nor do I think I could do a better job, just giving my opinion I thought that was the reason for this posting board. As a bystander, a member of the crowd, a simple fan, it just seems like we played our starters well after we needed to and beat the other team down unneccessarily. We would be furious as fans if another coach did that to our boys. Just putting myself in the other team's shoes, that's all. I'm sure Coach has his reasons for what he does and maybe it was the right thing to do to get the boys ready for this week. I don't know.
I'm glad we got the win and our kids are healthy for the big games coming up.

I was only giving my opinion too. I think it's great that you come on here and give your opinion. I just hope it doesn't backfire somehow. Alot of times the players get on here and read this stuff and then it causes problems on the team. They start thinking different or maybe quit listening to the coach and start listening to the people posting their "opinions " on here. I don't know but its something to think about...Especially this close to tourney.
And by the way, I didn't think that the game last night seemed to be a pounding....I just think that Peebles was that much better!

Good post junkie.I took a look at the roster and you are probably right about how deep they can go.I am just trying to figure out how to get better down the stretch run to tourney time. All in all it is about getting the boys better.I would like for Peebles to make a big run for a district title.I have read alot of your previous posts and i know you are a Great Peebles Fan. YCO8, when you have a group of great young kids like Peebles has,it makes us all feel like parents.Go Indians.

Wondering when it would start.
Deja Vu (around this time last year)? I bet Huge is having a good laugh right now (or as soon as he read this).

I love the Indians and am a loyal fan, but I know my place all those boys already have parents.

Agree totally with all of you, we are all truly fans and you are right, the last thing we want to do is anything that would create any controversey or tear down. We all support and are behind these boys and the coaching staff 100%, go Indians!

Sneaky your back, haven't seen you since this time last year.
I never post deragatory remarks about the boys or the Coach. I may question his actions during game play but that does not mean I don't have a lot of respect for the man or that I don't support the boys 100%, I certainly do. I think Lawhorn is doing a great job this year and we are lucky to have him. If I do question his decisions its not to tear him down, its to understand why he decided to do it and discuss the outcome.

Peebles Posters/Fans,
As a Green alumnus, fan, and coach of a different sport there I just wanted to add some thoughts. I got to see you guys play for the 1st time last night and was thoroughly impressed--with individuals and the whole. I'm nobody, so I don't want to seem as if I'm attempting to be your conscious barometer, but from the stands opposite you last night I DID NOT feel like you ran it up on us. High school teams rarely get the chance to get to 100, and the century mark could've easily shown up last night. You witnessed a young, struggling, injured, and undoubtedly emotionally tattered team from the year's events. Mentioning this is in no way a shot at downplaying your "W". Sleep easy...ha ha! Best of luck come tourney time.

I'm sure your comments will be appreciated catscoachmac. I also wanted to give a lot of credit to your guys, I know they've been through a lot this year but they played hard and never quit. There was no attitude or frustration and in those situations a lot of times players will let it show on the floor by intentionally trying to hurt someone and things of that nature. Those boys displayed none of that which is also a credit to their coaching staff.

Why don't you stop taking shots at me and realize that we all sit on the same side of the gym. There is no sense in having this board if we can't give our opinions.

Yeah, they are continuing to play hard. They have South Webster tonight, New Boston on Friday and then play South Webster again for 1st round on Monday. Be nice for them to get at least 1 W in the tourney. Have to wait and see though. #35 is Dustin Stapleton. He's a junior.
