Meigs vs Alex 2/17/09
Re: Meigs vs Alex 2/17/09
did not mean to bad talk anyone but, clay is 1 of the most intense players i ever saw. gabe hit clutch shots like no one else. they lifted everyone up just being there.together they where 1/2 of the offence. they will be missed.as far as the rest they are there this year. jesse can flat out play. he is only a fresman. cam can play no question about it. jon made great strides this year. jeremy and jacob are as talented as any 2 you would want to name. just seems the cupboard will be getting thinner.

Does Meigs have a good shot at beating Belpre on the road? Are they playing well enough that it woudnt be an upset if they won? Dont know much about Meigs.

Jimmy
Meigs is a hard team to describe.
I've seen they play lousy and I've seen they play to where they could be competitive or beat anybody in the league. They carved through Alex's press like it was nothing.
They do have talent and they are a pretty athletic bunch.
When they play up tempo and team ball they're very good.
So by the way they have been up and down this year I would not be surprised if Belpre won or if Meigs won or if Meigs won by 20.

I agree that our seniors will be sorely missed. Whether that makes the cupboard thinner depends on whether our returning players improve to the point they can off-set the losses of our graduates. I believe they can.

Bravo you hit it right on the head. I really don't see it as an upset if Meigs wins. Belpre is very good at home though. Seems they feed off their student section really well. Having said that, I still believe if Meigs plays like they are capable they can win. I look for a close game either way.

for the record wnl i hope i'm wrong too.
as for beating belpre didn't we already do that? that game, admittingly early in the year, wasn't even close.

Meigs is an impossible team to scout.
Alex will bounce back tomorrow night. Not the first time a good Alex team has lost at Meigs, and probably won't be the last.

Yes fasteach you are right. Meigs did beat Belpre. Might have been the first game of the season. I don't consider it an upset if Meigs wins...just think it will be a good game.
