Coach Copley is a class act! He is a excellent role model for kids and I hope someday he can find the time to get back into when the kids get older. With all the pressures that come with coaching these days, many good candidates decide that it is not worth the time lost with the family. It is funny that most parents that sit in the stands and scream and cuss out coaches don't understand that these men and women spend more time with their players than they do their own children.

Shoemaker? Very interesting as I'm sure the Falcons will try to lure back one of their own. Copley at Portsmouth? Would Portsmouth be interested in bringing back one of their own as well? If Shoemaker were to leave would Jeff Lisath once again pursue his most coveted job? Would Portsmouth consider hiring a coach that lives out of town and isn't a teacher? Would Shoemaker want to leave a team that is returning the 3 best guards in Scioto Co.? All interesting things to think about in the next 2-3 months. I guess time will tell.

I would like to see Strickland at the helm again but I would take a guess and say thats more than likely not going to happen.

Since his name seems to get thrown out everytime there is an opening, I'll go ahead and say it. How about Travis Bradford? I believe he was mentioned quite a bit the last time too.

Thats OK, I do enough coaching on the baseball, basketball, football pee-wee level.
But it is fun beating the burg at this level too

You might be waiting a while, I dont think he meant this towards Copley. He said, what is real interesting is when "A" coach says he is quitting. It was a joke, but not about Coach Copley! lol  :122246[/quote]

Then it shouldnt have been on this thread, and he should clarify things. Not close to being amusing.....then again some of us are mature, and some arent.

Hopefully they look over East so Coach Bradford will stay.

Where is McGraw coaching at now? Wasn't he at Minford a few years ago coaching the JV

Does no one else agree to give Coach Perdas a shot? This guy has been an integral part of the #2 Shawnee States success..... He's got big time experience and does a great job at recruiting and scouting for the Lady Bears......

Heaven forbid bring in someone who isn't from Minford. Good thing Duke, Ohio State UCLA, and UK didn't listen to you when hiring Coach K, Matta, Wooden or Pitino.

Way to have an open mind.

falconater -

I have no dog in this fight (but part of me would really like to see what Bradford could do out there), just curious why getting someone with a connection to Minford is so important to you?

I don't think anyone is saying you can't have success without ties to an area but I think it is an easier transition when people know you. I think they trust a little easier when they think you have a history with a particular program. Just my opinion. ;-)
