I think there are 2 great attributes of a great coach.......1) he wins consistently, 2) he wins no matter where he goes.......and Norm Persin has done both........getting to the state is very difficult, let alone winning a state title........and now that he has a state championship on his resume, it just adds something very special to an already outstanding resume........

Coach Persin needed no defending to anyone who had a brain cell. You don't get 575 wins in this state without knowing exactly what you are doing. I have followed his career for many years and he along with some others already mentioned have earned respect for what they have accomplished. Very well done Coach Persin and the Oak Hill Oaks. I was impressed with the statement he made that said : This was for every kid who had ever played for him that didn't get the oppurtunity to win the title.

That was class in my opinion.
