Nice team game by the Lancers, All of these boys seem to be stepping it up
every game. Played some great D. Still cant figure out there Offense but its
working. Clark, Torrence, McCune, Thompson and Rex are starting to bring it all together.
Good to see Sharp in there who really stepped up last night. ( good job Lance)

its good to see a small school do this, being at waterford so long we have seen the TVC take its licks to bigger non-conference teams, i was shocked to see the score. from hearing around the TVC, this Coach was struggling with his offense in scrimmages and in the Wheelersburg game. Looks like its slowly getting pieced together, the inside game of that Rex kid (dont know how big he is) and Mccune and Saylor seem to show the Lancers have become more balanced and scoring a larger amount of points and less relying on other options. . Good for the Lancers, I was wrong, I had you guys picked to lose and you went to Marietta and snapped a home winning streak. Good for the TVC.

Kudos to Kevin Wiseacre and the Athens Mess on their reporting of the Lancer's victory. Absolutely nothing in Wednesday's paper about the game (not surprising, it was in Marietta, and no one from the Mess could make the drive to outer Siberia to cover the game), and again, nothing in today's paper, not even a box score. OK, before I hear anything from you know who, I'll go ahead and blame it on the "hat".

He obviously did not call in on the bat phone to give the "staff report" on the outcome of the game. Poor kid, didn't realize that he had to be a sports reporter as well as a head basketball coach. That is certainly forgiveable....especially in the infancy of his HS coaching career.

That's OK, the Marietta Times did a bang up job covering the game, even though their home team lost. Oh, and you can read their sports write-ups in full, for free. Imagine that!!!!!!!!
