i don't remember this much involvement in this site until this year from you, could peebles success have something to do with this?

Personally I like the info jchitwood is providing. Helps me out as I cannot remember "chitwood".

I'm on here because a) it's a nice distraction from a stressful job, b) to promote "We are the Indians" and and the North Adams documentary, "We Know," and c) I have a nephew playing some varsity this year, so I'm wanting to keep up on things while living far away. No local news site keeps SHL standings up to date, so I'm doing it.

And, I like talking to you sparky.

The lack of local coverage is a good point. There's a new paper that has started in Adams county I think it's called the Informer. Wonder if they will try to pick the slack by providing better coverage of the local teams.

I wonder if the Informer has a website. I recently wrote a local paper a long letter, offering ways to improve their site, like updating it more than once a week.

I don't think they have a website but the publisher communicates on the facebook site every day. Here's the link.

I checked out their facebook fan page...I like it. An inexpensive way to bring media instantly to people, and promote your paper. If a new paper in a market the size of AC wants to succeed, it's got to have a strong Internet presence.

Whiteoak over Fayetteville by 8...I didn't see this game, but it was closer than it should have been. Is it me, or is Fayetteville showing some good ball against some good teams? they gave Peebles all they could handle last week, and their D was tight. Fairfield might be in for a battle Friday.

Anyone see the Wildcats/Rockets game? How close was it?

Peebles 75, North Adams 56. North Adams led by 3 at the end of the first. The game mirrored the holiday tournament matchup, with Peebles pulling away in the 2nd and never looking back. Props to the Devils for playing hard.

Great night of SHL basketball...no suprises, except some games defied the spread.

Jchitwood
Although Peebles won by 19, had they not had so many unfriendly rolls on layups and put backs around the basket they may have covered that 30 point spread. However we won and that is the bottom line. Keep it up boys!!!

South Point beats Eastern by 25. I don't know much about South Point, other than Peebles beat them handily last year.

Manchester and Peebles play the Pointers this week though...
