It does hurt Clay losing their scoring and assist leader, but if you look at their stats there are 5 boys avg around 10 ppg, so they can fill in his spot. They just have to stay in control at the end of the game. That is what cost them to lose the Western game, they got out of control. Good luck Panthers at Symmes Valley. You will have everybody back Tuesday when Eastern comes to you court, so you need to make a statement tomorrow night.
Remember this, the guy who takes his place may not score as much as he does, but defense should still be there regardless, so hold SV under 50 points and you've got a chance.
Whether Western by 6 or 60 does not matter. Western still won when Valentine did not play. I think in this game it is important to remember that Clay would have been the underdog going into SV even if they had their PG. Clay beat Symmes at home in a great upset in round #1. The Vikings will be fired up and ready for revenge.
Good luck Panthers. Love to see you (or anyone else) win at Symmes.

Why are you so negative to clay no matter who they play?

Clay is with out 2 starters tonight but I wish them best of luck lets go panthers!!!!!!
Re: clay @ symmes valley 1-29-10
Thats going to make it tough, I heard there was an injury that might take a player out tonight. All they can do is hope that guys off the bench step up and play great defense. Even with a win it looks like Eastern will take to SOC I but they are playing for second place and a better spot in the tourney brackets.

I wonder if Clay will pull up a couple of the Sophomores. Other than Chandler King, no one else has even dressed for Varsity. These guys are all going to be juniors next year, and while it will be a senior loaded team, they need to get some experience before the year is out.

Re: clay @ symmes valley 1-29-10
Congrats Vikings. Good job panthers, especially without your PG. Very unfortunate he was missing, sounded like you may have won with him in the lineup.
Re: clay @ symmes valley 1-29-10
With either one of those two in the lineup this could have been a different outcome. Hopefully they will all be ready to play Eastern on Tuesday. Clay beat them at home last year after losing to them by 22 on their court. Let's hope for a repeat.

halftime you still don't get it. there are no moral victories here and that is what people are trying to say. In the end it doesn't matter if you had five starters out and lost by 1 or 100 it is still a loss and at the end of the season there won't be an * by the game. I actually want Clay to do well( I have family there) but I'm realistic about it. I really do wish the Panthers the best of luck the rest of the season.
