Over the last ten or so years I don't think a coach has done less mith more in the entire state than satch sullinger. Routinely one of the most talented teams in the state. not just this year. A good coach would have had at least 5 state titles by now at Northland.

Watched Gahanna in the districts at the Fairgrounds Coliseum, and thought that their guards could definitely play with Northland's guards.......I thought that the Lions would have trouble with the Vikings inside game, but obviously it wasn't much of a problem Saturday night.......Gahanna's tandem of Stevie Taylor and Rob Brandenburg is probably as good as any in the state, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if the Lions win the D1 state title.

Steely Dan wrote:I would consider Northland the victims of a condition called the "arrogance of success". They thought they had earned their dues to the point that no one would dare challenge them, so the players thought that the post season tournament would be a cakewalk. I watched their state championship game performance last year and was truly impressed.

To get their heads handed to them by 26 points tonight tells me that they thought that the crown would be handed to them this year. Guess Gahanna felt otherwise. What a legacy to walk away with for Sullinger and Weatherspoon, getting your arse kicked in the regional championship. That is why you play the games, and never assume that you are going to win.........

Reminds me of SVSM with Lebron when they lossed to that Brown team. Someone know what I am talking about.
