I think what is being forgotten is the kid was a sophomore last year, he still has two more years of high school to get better, bigger, etc. I don't think he is done growing either.

I also heard he got a letter from Nebraska for football, interesting.

I was just going off what I saw early last season and have no knowledge of the time he has put in this summer. Its great to have local kids get some respect on that level....if he does make it I wish him nothing but luck.

not to be mean or anything, but how do you get a scholarship from a D1 college... playing JV QB?

At the moment I dont see D1 out of McMaster but he is young and has room to grow both physically and in other aspects of the game so who knows what will happen
Good thing you are not a college coach. I know for a fact OU,William and Mary, Northern Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky, Princeton, and St. Francis have all requested game film from him. I would say he has the attention of D1 schools. McMaster is 6'5-6'6 and still growing, a good athlete, runs the floor well, rebounds, passes well, plays above the rim, and the main thing, he's a perimeter player. He averaged 16 pts a game as a sophomore and shot the ball very well from 3, I am not sure what it is you are looking for in a d1 prospect, but whatever it is you must be missing it. He is far better imo then say Drew Spradlin as a sophomore, who was a d1 player. Being d1 is all about upside, and his upside is huge.

Mcmaster is a good player. He runs the floor and has a good pull up but at his height and strength i dont think he would fit in the D1 level. He is not quick enough to hang with those bigger guards at the D1 level. He is raw right now but has plenty of time to develop but as of now he is not ready.D3 and possibly D2 is the best fit for him. His basic needs are the weight room, ball handling, and needs to work on his jumping because there are some freak athletes out there

Your post is ridiculous. I can tell you right now speaking first hand McMasters has a lot of d1 coaches very very interested in him right now. How many 6'5 guards do you know that are rally strong? He also can stroke it from 3, and the 3 pt line has become the great equalizer, so if you can shot it at 6'5 you are going to have a very good shot of playing at the next level. I don't know how much basketball you watch, but you can be a system guy at plenty of d1 schools. I think back to Drew Spradlin at this age and McMaster is certainly more advanced then he was. The kid is only going to be a junior, I don't think you can accuratly say he is only a d2 or d3 talent at this point. Again, I will take the opinion of coaches at the college level over yours any day.
