Notre Dame Titans 51
New Boston Glenwood Tigers 40

The Titans and Tigers were 10-10 at the end of the first; NB led at the half 27-22. The third ended Titans 37-33 and the final ND 51-40. This game was much closer than the score shows.

There was no JV game played tonight due to illness.

ND moves to 3-4 (2-2). Congrats Titans! NB falls to 0-8 (0-4).

The Tigers have three games next week. On Tuesday 1/11 NB hosts the also winless Western Indians 0-5 (0-2). On Friday 1/14 the Symmes Valley Vikings 5-2 (1-1) come calling. And to end the week on Saturday, the Tigers meet the St.Joseph Flyers 4-5, in Ironton.

Notre Dame has Green 4-2 (3-0) in the Furnace on Monday and host Western 0-5 (0-2) on Friday.

The Glenwood Tigers 0-8 and the Western Indians 0-5 had looked forward to tonight for someone's first victory. The game's cancelled due to the weather.

Next up for NB is Friday as they host Symmes Valley.

The Symmes Valley Vikings 79
The New Boston Glenwood Tigers 73

The Tigers gave a valiant effort on Homecoming tonight as they fell to SV. The Vikings led at all stops, 22-18, 42-33, 53-48 and the final 79-73. I believe NB led very early in the game by a point or so. The game was tied on two occasions at 58-58 and 60-60 with 4 minutes to go in the game. SV made their free throws and pulled away at the end.

The Tigers go to 0-9 (0-5) while Symmes Valley improves to 6-3 (2-2). New Boston goes to Ironton tomorrow to meet the Flyers of St.Joseph 5-5. Next up for the Vikings is in Latham on Tuesday to meet the 0-5 (0-2) Western Indians.

Congrats to SV on the win! The JV also went to SV 62-26. I thought the Tiger effort was excellent tonight. Enjoy Homecoming and come out with another effort like tonight and good things will start to happen.

The Queen and her court were:

Queen.......................Kaci McNutt
Senior Attendant........Sami Evans
Junior Attendant.........Brittney Winn
Sophomore Attendant..Shawna Buckley
Freshmen Attendant.....Kiersten McGraw

Congratulations Young Ladies! You all looked exceptionally nice tonight!

New Boston seems to be competing pretty good with most of the teams on their schedule so far. They have had sort of a semi-tough schedule so far and I believe they will pick up some wins down the road. What happened in the Port.West game - thats the only one on the schedule that I thought would be closer with NB having a chance to pull out the win?

Ironton St.Joseph Flyers 57
New Boston Glenwood Tigers 50 in overtime

The Tigers stumbled at the end again falling to 0-10 (0-5). The Tigers stay on the road for two games next week, starting Tuesday as they visit the East Tartans 0-7 (0-4) in Sciotoville. The Tigers or Tartans come up with their first win of the season! Good Luck!

On Friday, NB is at league leading Clay 6-4 (5-0).

The Tigers have been in at least half of the games in the final quarter and some down to the wire. The Tigers have a lot of underclassmen playing and are improving each game.

As far as the West game goes, I was not there so I can't give an opinion. Their record is 2-8 (0-5).

Nice win for the tigers. THey had several players step up and play way above their averages tonight against Clay. Two wins in a row for the tigers, now we need them to get number 3 against Green next week. Good luck Tigers! BTW, you could go ahead and beat Eastern too!
