Congrats to Tom on his first win,but a well coached RV team?? sorry i don't see that at all!!futurebkstar wrote:Congrats to Coach Moore...........Nice win against a very good coached RV team.
i hardly see any of the starters who play inside block their man out they have a couple guys who do what they want on both ends of the floor? the defense is a good scheme.but a couple guys loose their man on switches and from what i see it's the same 2 who are undisciplined on the offensive end.
good Lord coach hill needs some help!!! he has no bench coach and the poor kids playing jv wow!

What was the final score, and does anyone know if WBYG.com will be streaming the basketball games like they did for football?
Congrats on the win for the blue devils!!!!! I hope the community continues to support this team and coach Moore.

I liked the intensity that blue played with tonite ,rv i was kind of disappointed in how bad they are fundamentally and they have to use the depth better the kids i saw come in at least the first couple could both play if they don't foul trouble will beat them in several games this year. this coach may learn that using every player available helps your depth in the future plus kids can't play 32 min every night and get better! maybe just a bad game they played the same way in the first half of the southern game??Shot selection by a couple of the kids was really questionable! why run a motion offense and settle for a 24ft jump shot? Pointless! if (IF) they can clean it up they could have a nice team, the inexperience of coach hill may be a problem, not to say he won't be successful he may just not be readygahs4ever wrote:In some ways the game was similar to the Rock Hill game in that GAHS got out to a nice lead 19-7 after one and then spent the next two quarters juggling the lineup trying to keep things in order when the game got to crunch time.
RV actually got the deficit to single digits in the third before getting into serious foul trouble of their own (3 Raiders eventually fouled out), and when the Blue Devil starters got together again on the floor, the gap widened significantly. RV rebounded very well in their comeback and played with poise throughout. If the Raiders had hit a little more than 50% of their foul shots the game would have been closer, but I never felt as if this game was out of our control for a second.
Defense was awesome on both sides of the ball IMO, and the kids were relentless.
I think between these 2 teams 8 victories will be a lot!
blue devils won't win a league game
rv might beat rock hill

It was none in the first period, five in the second and five in the third and two in the fourth for a total of 12 turnovers for GAHS. RVHS had two in the first, four in the second, one in the third and three in the fourth for a total of 10.
