What was the technical at the end of the Unioto/Court House game tonite? Never heard why it was called.

i don't think this will be a good game at all. i think piketon will win this game by 20 plus. Unioto is like fools gold if you ask me. I just don't think they're as good as their perfect record. Piketon might win by 30 but we'll see. I would actually like to see the shermans win this game.

The technical should not have been called in my opinion. Unioto hit a 3 with about 6 seconds to go. Court House players were smart and stayed away from the ball and wanted time to run out since Unioto was out of time outs. A Unioto player tried to get them to throw the ball in and picked up the ball and threw it out of bounds. Instead of giving a delay of game warning which should have been called, they gave him a technical. Great game by both teams. Give CH credit because they hit the free throws when it counted. I believe they were something like 16-17 in the fourth. That is where the game was won.

A pretty gutsy statement made by CampSherman. I guess thats what the youngins do. I applaud the school spirit.
Perhaps he is just a "Piketuckian" himself and he's making sure the Streaks don't take the Tanks lightly?
I see it very difficult for them to talk so much trash. No SVC team has come within 30 points of Piketon and Unioto has squeeked by most of these teams. I will give Unioto credit though. They are a much improved team that could possibly knock someone off down the road. I just don't see it being tonight.

Piketon by 20.

Unioto is very athletic and has 3 or 4 different guys who can handle the rock and that's why I think they'll make this game more competitive than any other SVC team has. Their bugaboo is FT shooting, which really cost them against WCH.

I think it will be a better game than most are predicting tonight, I'm guessing everyone has forgotten about the 2 games last year(5 and 12 pts) since Unioto returns as much of their core as Piketon has. If Unioto can stay within 4-6 through 3 quarters, then they'll have a chance, anything more and it could be just another Piketon blowout.

Piketon now leads 47-45 with a little over 2 minutes left. Unioto has a couple of key players fouled out now.

Refs gave the game to Piketon. We are the better team. Piketon is way overrated and playing on borrowed time. Refs were a joke.

Piketon had 3 players sick, shot 0% from 3, 40% from the line, played horrible, unioto played perfect, and we still win! Go streaks!!!!

Excuses abundant so far, I'd like to see some thoughts from some actual posters with some real input on the game.

I saw about half of the game. I'd say 40% is stretching it a bit for Piketon from the foul line. There's no way. If so, I'll come back on here and apologize. I don't see that there was much advantage gained either way from the officials but let's be clear on one thing - there were some strange calls and no-calls both ways tonight. Wow! A very physical game in which you could have a player tackled with no call and then a clean tipped ball be called a foul - over and over. But the real story is that Piketon struggled shooting the ball against the Unioto zone. I would like to comment more but missed so much of the game it would be worthless. I will say that this Unioto team is athletic and plays hard. Admittedly, the game was closer than I expected. Congrats to the Streaks for staying unbeaten. The effort was there but the shooting percentage from everywhere was rather woeful.
