Sounds like it was an epic game. Not too bad for a D3 team against arguebly the best team in WV to come in and play like they did forcing the game to the final whistle. Great job Chesapeake.

If anything probably blamed them for adding time to the clock at the end....

I watched the game. Officiating was just fine. The clock issues were prevalent throughout the game (made me think it was the system, not necessarily human error). They played 30 seconds in the 2nd quarter without the clock moving...it was never adjusted. Seemed to me they were pretty accurate down the stretch with clock corrections.

The last foul was 75 feet from the basket, but the Chesapeake kid clearly bumped Williamson...knocked him over in fact, just as Williamson had run down a rebound.

Hate that a great game ended that way, but it was the correct call as I saw it on TV in my living room.

What a waste! A classic game played very well and tough by two evenly matched great programs was decided by a veteren official who has the experience and know how to not call that foul in that situation. A loose ball going out of bounds with under 2 secs. left. Tell me Mr. B.S. (thats his intials) what advantage did one player have over another for you to make that call? A great game played like that should be decided by the players not YOU!

Pioneer, I sat directly behind the clock operator and just to her right and it wasn't clock malfuntion. The whole game she stayed on her phone texting instead of paying attention. It might not have changed the outcome of the game but the last call that decided the game would never had happened, the clock should have expired.

Great game as i expected officiating was terrible on both ends the whole game.
Panthers leading scorers with 4fould in the 3rd? Verry questionable...
Both kennedy's really put the Peake on their back and carried them for a great part of the game!
Williamson is a stud very tough to guard. But the Peake did all they could! I wish these two teams could play another!!

Here we go let the "blame game" start. Gosh and everyone thinks only South Point fans blame the refs lol (ball4) you might not be a peake fan but they lost get over it there is nothing you can do to change it so no reason to get in an uproar about it. Peake is a very good team but logan was just better tonight.

Great Game by both Teams, watched it on TV. I didn't see anything that warranted calling the Officiating terrible.

I didn't have a dog in the fight...I could care less who won (although I lean toward smaller schools that don't openly recruit...so I would have been leaning toward Chesapeake against the Coalfield All-Stars).

That said, he had to make the call...Williamson got knocked into the Chesapeake bench well before the final buzzer went off. When the clock was reset to 39.5, that was the correct time. Williamson also had the ball at the time...he had just gained control. Tough play...hate it ended that way...but if it is a foul in the first minute, it's a foul in the last minute. That's always been my opinion on things. If a foul hadn't been called, it would have been a travel (if he held onto the ball after contact, I don't recall). Travelling would have been the worst call in basketball history there.

Now I don't doubt you one bit on human error...I wasn't there to see that the person was distracted, but figured that many instances could have been a technical mishap of a seldom used electronic system.

Chesapeake outplayed Logan, and both teams will be better because of this game. Perhaps they can schedule home-and-home in the future (once a year or twice either one). Would make for great competition.

Williamson finished with 41 points.

You're right...we had more camera angles and replays. Obviously not the same.

I was not at the game but if it was played at the fieldhouse of course they want a WV team to beat a very good team from ohio so I believe you guys. Like last year I believe South Point's girls team get hosed in the st.joe invitational. So this game has no effect on the peake season (except going undefeated) but move on and in the OVC and make a run in the tourny.

Go Pointers.

No matter what kind of officiating you have when these two teams play, it will be a nail biter. Just to much talent both ways to be otherwise. That being said, this officiating crew was pitiful from the opening tipoff to the extended end of the game.

All 3 officials are also registered in Ohio and do OVC games over there all the time.

In fact, their board is in Chesapeake's officiating zone, not Logan's.
