They still have SV at home, Green and Eastern away but I think from what I saw in the first match ups, they should win at least 2 of 3 of these, if not all three. They have SW at home and that will be a real test for them, to see where they fair in the tournament. If they had played the earlier games with the style they have been playing lately, mixing up zone and man to man, instead of straight man to man that they played in the first 5 or 6 games, they could have won 2 or 3 more games, but that is water under the bridge. Just hope it doesn't drop them in seeding.
You should not count any game as a win until the game is played! What happens to Clay in these rankings if they fall to the Tigers on Friday! Anything can happen?

That is why I said "a chance". If they don't beat NB, Notre Dame, Western twice and East the whole point is moot.

Here is my sentence - "I also agree that though ISJ is 7-5, South Gallia has played the far harder schedule and always will now that they are a member of the TVC and not playing 5-6 Christian schools every year."

Obviously, if you read this sentence a little slower you will realize that I am talking about South Gallia's schedule the past few years.

Manchester nearly lost to North Adams, but they pulled out the W and that's what matters. I like how you;re ranking include the best wins....nicely done.

I'm also glad you took Fairfield's tough schedule, as well as the return of Chris Cox into account.

the return of Chris Cox is huge for Fairfield. They are no doubt the best 4-7 team in D-4

That Wellston Sectional is very solid and balanced. Besides Miller #9 that will be a hard sectional to seed. I dont think any of those teams can beat Eastern Meigs. But with #2-8 anything could happen.

D4 Scores

Trimble 51 - how many teams do you know who could lose 2 starters and not struggle. Kind of feel sorry for them.
Waterford 31

Southern 43 - Look out for Southern the rest of the season. Hitting stride at right time.
Eastern Meigs 35

Symmes Valley 58
Notre Dame 40

Wheelersburg 59 - SW trailed most of the game but made it interesting falling to top 10 SE D3.
South Webster 57

New Boston 64 - NB is playing better but wasnt this game at Clay??? Good teams take care of weaker teams at home.
Clay 54

Fairfield ???
Peebles ??? - Could be a close game???

I read on another thread that Racine Southern beat Eastern Meigs.

After looking over the remaining schedules I see the following records for the Feb. 13th Draw.

Fairfield 8-10

Whiteaok 6-12 or 7-11 (depending on the NA game at home)

Clay 11-8 or 12-7

Green 12-5 (not sure when the makeup game with East takes place) that game would make them possibly 13-5

Notre Dame 7-12 (maybe 8-11 but not sure they can beat NB on road)

South Webster 11-6 (not sure of a couple makeup games that if played would make this more like 13-6).

Here is my questions for Sparky and Ironman?

It looks like it will be Manchester, South Webster, and than #3 Green. After that could/would they really have the #1 has to play the winner of #8/9 right? Dont you think they put Whiteoak at #8 so they have to play Manchester to advance to District!

Second question, has there ever been a year where Manchester, Fairfield, Whiteoak has had the chance to make it to District without having to play one another and if so what were the results? I dont remember this ever happening but maybe you remember such a scenario?

I can remember Whiteoak advancing on without playing Fairfield or Manchester.....but during those years Fairfield and Manchester weren't very good.

They will either place Whiteoak #8 somehow or find Whiteoak and Fairfield somehow matched up at 4/5 or 3/6.....it'll happen.

I'm going with #3/#6

Not sure what I was thinking - there is no way they could put Whiteoak at #8 with NB, East, and Western in the sectional.

Will post the new rankings early this evening. Still have some decisions to make about teams such as Clay, Southern, Waterford, Fairfield, and Whiteoak. Green and Symmes Valley keep taking care of business and will probably be rewarded even though they are beating weaker teams.

If you have any supporting statements or information to add - now is the time.

In defense of Clay's loss to New Boston, NB is a much better team than their records shows, losing several close games. Last nights match against at Green, losing by a half court "buzzer beater???" shows us that the win over Clay wasn't a fluke. Eastern will have their hands full this Friday with NB in the cracker box gym.
