In time, no one cares who win what, but at the time it hurts and causes rifts.
In all of the moves we have made over the years I dont even know if I still have the trophies and awards I won as a youngster and couldnt care less. If I have them at all they are in the attic somewhere and havent seen the light of day in decades. The only time I even thin of them is when threads like this take the turn they ultimately do.
But the memories......ahhhhh the memories of games played and teams and seasons and team mates. They are as fresh in my mind as if they happened yesterday, and no one can take them from me.
There are more important things in life than trophies and personally I wish they would do away with individual awards for team sports. JMO
