1. Eastern
2. Notre Dame
3. East
4. Symmes Valley
5. Green
6. New Boston
7. Western
8. Clay

To me, Eastern is the top team until proven otherwise. They went to the Regional Finals last season, much further than any other team in the conference.

Proven otherwise? ND ran with them at their court the entire game and suffered a turnover and foul within seconds of the end of the game to lose what could have easily been theirs. Second game ND shut down Eastern, not letting them score for minutes and beating them, they were more physical underneith and shot the ball much better this game. This year ND will be much deeper and mature with Kayser running point and Lewis and Mader (Seniors) leading the way. I don't think many teams out there will get much more physical than Notre Dame. I believe Notre Dame hands them two losses in regular season and clinches the SOC outright this year.

It was a 1 point game both times last season with the same boy from Eastern on the line at the end first game he made his foul shots at the end second game he missed them at the very end. And so far over the summer the Eagles handled Notre Dame easy both games the first by 19 second by 9 and Chad Lands Eastern best player never played in ether contest. But it was summer ball. I think this season could be a split again very easily.

Until Eastern is knocked off, then to me they are the best team in the SOC. It's a whole new season with new players for both teams. Eastern had a late lead at Notre Dame, but they stopped running an offense to score and started trying to play stall ball, which never ever works in tight situations, especially on the road. We will see.

Almost time for open gyms to start up and the teams to start focusing on the upcoming season.

First practice was tonight . The season is going to be exciting with the league returning lots of the top talent it had last season teams like East,Notre Dame, Eastern, and Symmes Valley comeing off sectional titles and returning tons of players from those teams will make the league very competative . And last years young teams Western,Clay, and Green returning almost everyone and getting help from there JV teams look to slide by New Boston at the middle of the pack to challenge those upper 4 teams for the league.

And everyone better not sleep on Western they are young but very, very deep and return 2 starters from last season that were freshmen. This is there second year under Larry Jordan so look for big improvements from them.
