Looks like the Vikings have a great schedule this year. Should keep all the cry babies away that talk about weak schedules for the TVC. Looking forward to the season getting started. Great to see Matt Smallwood getting ready for his senior season. I was worried about him when he injured his knee in a scrimmage game before the football season started.

Yeh, they scrimmaged at Oak Hill yesterday. Oak Hill won 3 three of the four qtrs they played. Granted, Coach Combs was making tons of substitutions throughout the entire scrimmage while Coach Persin only had six players on his varsity bench(I talked to Norm after the scrimmage & he indicated he would probably be dressing more on varsity once the regular season started.) Oak Hill(as always) played fantastic D & Norm will have the Oaks ready for the regular season. Otherwise, those kids will be deaf from him yelling.

While everyone is saying great things about VC in the preseason, I'm starting to become a little concerned about whether they're really as good as they are being advertised. They only lost one starter from last year and have a much deeper bench this year. However, they just don't seem to be making very good decisions(particularly on offense).

This year's addition of the Vikes have no shortage of intensity, scrappiness, and heart. We also got a nice crop of size coming up with a couple of freshmen but they will need sometime to develop. Its very early but VC needs to start making better decisions and quit forcing things on offense.
