I know Waverly, Western and Eastern haven't. When I saw a 10-day layoff on the schedule I found that odd.
I don't remember a 10-day gap between games when I was in HS.
I think it will be interesting to see if the teams come out and look rejuvenated and intense or if they show some rust.
I know they have been practicing, but like Iverson said "Not a game, were talking about practice"

Most leagues dont like scheduling games close to Christmas, which left the 21st, 22nd, 28th and 29th open. Waverly choose to use the 28th for the tourney. Its a hard balance scheduling games close to holidays, some travel and use the time to visit family. The ohsaa in all its infinite wisdom went to 22 games without adding any days to the season, so there went a few more days to use. With Christmas falling on a Tuesday it makes it a little more difficult in scheduling.

Looks like some good match ups in downtown Waverly the next two evenings. Since I will be in Ptown faithfully watching my Falcons play the Trojans, I will have to keep up with the scores on Preps. :122245
As for tonight's games, I look for Piketon to be way too much for Western to handle. I look for the Streaks to beat Western in the first game.
In the second game of the night, after a close stretch, I think Waverly will prevail in this one. I've seen both teams play this year and I just think that Waverly will pull it off. They have more size then Eastern does.
On Saturday night, I think Eastern will beat Western and Piketon will walk off as tourney champs.

Hopefully the 10 day layoff has allowed the Tigers to get some guys healthy. Hart won't be back but Waverly has had some other guys far from 100%.

We all survived the 12-21-12 dooms day and hopefully everyone had a blessed Christmas. Looking forward to a good night of basketball.

Piketon 87 Western 48....Streaks could've got biscuits in this one. The Reserve team played today, so coach L. couldn't use the reserve team until the 4th. Zach Farmer led with 33 points (27 first half) Craigen Moore added 21.

Congrats Eagles on the win. Waverly was much bigger and quicker than I thought they would be. But they didnt seem to use their size much. JP White is a nice player

Piketon looked awesome and Western is still just young. I see Waverly over Western tomorrow.

Love to see an upset tomorrow night in the championship game!

I was very impressed with the second half strategy Waverly's coach used they controlled the tempo the entire second half getting back into the game. Eastern came out and there pressure caused a lot of bad shots for Waverly building the Eagles an 11 point lead. Eastern showed me a lot weathering the storm though. I thought Lands and Lightle made some good decisions late in the game to preserve the win. The choices those two made to get the win last night are the ones we failed to make in the Oak Hill and Notre Dame. Which is a testament to coach Fitch's coaching. Tonight is a big task for the Eagles though Piketon is the most balanced team we have faced all year and have great leadership on the floor they work hard on both ends and value every possession . Good luck to all the teams tonight play hard and have fun .

Waverly 23 Western 20 at the half. Western is playing them very hard. Waverly playing without there 2 bigs is makeing them vulnerable inside and Western is smartly attacking the rim.

Listened off and on to the radio. How does Piketon lose this game? Nothing against Eastern.
