Surprised you've become a Piketon hater....but I'm sure your hate will increase once they get healthy and start rolling! :122246 The bottom line...Polls don't mean squat...the games will be played and it will soon come out in the wash!
Give me a break. I made a simple comment about not liking Piketon over Zane Trace...someone made a point against ZT and I made a point against Piketon. Right now almost everyone's points are low in meaning. I don't have a single solitary thing against Piketon. Do a thread on the top 5 coaches and I always list Jeff Lisath in there. He's a great coach and a classy guy.

We're just bouncing back and forth on stuff....which is a good way to get info on some of these teams. No one on here knows a great amount about every team and probably not even 1/4 of the teams.

The internet is serious stuff!

Piketon will likely prove their worth by the end of the season, but I agree for now. We'll see in 9 days when Piketon travels to Zane Trace in a huge matchup.

The Streaks haven't put up impressive results, but they have done what they've needed to do to win games. Good teams avoid the upset and they have done it so far and I think showed what they are capable of with the pounding of Fairland on Saturday night. I fully expect them to walk through the Pike Co tourney this weekend as well.
Completely agree. I keep saying how it's early and everything will prove itself out...few seem to listen though.

its a fact Athens beat Logan Elm 10 months ago in the tournament on a neutral floor ... beat them again a few weeks ago on their home floor ... but both games were as close as close can get and were seperated by 3 points or less ... having one or the other ranked a little higher can probably be setteld by a coin flip ... maybe Athens called heads - and it was tails - this week ...

:)

jimmy the greek is always protecting his boy! :122245 Don't count Chillicothe out yet...we struggled early....but my guess we will be in the Convo come March! I really wanted Lisath at Chilli, but I'm starting to like Meister. I'm sure he will get it turned around.

Chillicothe and Portsmouth are being closely watched.

Hillsboro is garnering attention.

Did you see Athens play Jackson last night?

Sure did....hard to gather a lot against Jackson. I loved how Skinner coached. They were up about 30, made a substitution and one of our least likely guys hits an open 3 and Skinner went nuts. He coached the whole game andwould not let the players succumb to the score.

Loved the freshman guard and the freshman slasher. Burrow is excellent along with another athletic sophomore. Big guy always in position. Young looking kid first off the bench was solid. Big haired kid was smooth.

I honestly don't have the foggiest idea how Wellston beat you....even with horrible shooting I just don't see it.

Athens will be my #3 in next week's rankings....4 spots ahead of LE.

Athens played without one starter (6-foot-5 Ryan Leuhrman was in street cloths)
and played without first or second man off the bench (Trae Williams, the 'Dogs tailback in the fall) ... he was with his dad at the Bocats bowl game.

The 'Dogs are pretty good when those two are dressed and playing ...

bigger question though is: why didn't you stop up and say hey to ol 93Dog ... I was the only guy sportin a bright blue Kansas sweatshirt - very easy to spot ........ :)

Kansas...lol

Who are the Bocats?

The kid that wasn't in uniform.....is that one starter his twin or brother?

Talking to one guy near the end that said the brother of the one kid is in 8th grade and said he'd start if you were allowed to have 8th grade on varsity. Dad transferred in to teach at OU?

Athens is loaded for the next few years. Athens is at an athletic high in their sporting programs...just about all are good.

Kid in street cloths is the twin brother of the Leuhrman that started last night ... both are soph's ... usually the one in street cloths starts (Ryan) - but I guess if he's injured - who better than to replace him than his own twin ... lol

I'll have mine ready in the morning. Need to see a couple more scores first. Lots of teams with losses this week.

Eastern played some very good basketball this weekend. But don't underestimate Piketon I think Eastern is just starting to get on track early in the year they were struggleing at both ends to get a rythm but are starting to get it together. There best player was hurt all summer and the team played tons of games without him every one in a different role he got cleared to come back right before the season. So players had to adjust and now there starting to play a little better.
