… a Good "W" in the books for Eastern !!! the committee of one - me - is watching this group of Eagles … Oak Hill " how did the youngsters play ( the Carroll twins) ? … it will take awhile for Coach Persin's young team to get it together BUT one thing we CAN count on is the Oaks WILL come together …
… thanks beaverlover for your input on this one … please keep us up to date on these boys this season - you never know you might see pfloyd at the Eagles nest again this season …
You can count on that he will have the Jackson Oaks back to form.
He is a very good coach and will get the best out of these young men.
Look what happened last time he had this combination. A state championship. Wont be the case here but they will be a good ball club.
This team will get better every game. Only 2 seniors who are very good ball players with a young bunch of kids that will only get better as the season goes on . By mid season they will be hard to handle. Not taking anything from eastern they are a good team and shot lights out. At the same time, probably the worst game oaks has played in two years. Shots wouldn't fall, not getting to loose balls, turnovers. But that's why they play the game. Good luck to eastern the rest of the season.
I agree Oak Hill will be a good team with those talented freshman, the big kid Fleming is solid and Cox is a very good player.Norm will have another solid team.Eastern came out hot in this game but cooled off, they only shot 34% for the night but hit 17 of 21 free throws, that was huge plus holding Cox to 7 points was big.I thought Eastern played pretty good d for most of night. This is deepest Eagles squad I've seen in a long time, when they get senior starter Trace Creech back, this team will be able to play 8 solid players.
For Eastern Thacker had 30 pts 8 reb 5stl
Leist 15Pts 7reb
Fitch 6pts
Oak Hill lead by freshman Landon Carroll with 14Pts,Harrison with 12pts,Cox 7pts and Nolan Carroll with 6pts
