... Hawks1112 ... I would report scores and have the wrong Eastern team listed (AND get corrected over and over again LOL) ... and that was the East & Eastern teams THEN there were the West/Western's LOL - Western Pike=Western (Latham) , Western Brown (not even in the Southeast District , Portsmouth West ... I survived the breaking-in period ...

Ok Eastern Meigs is that also called Reedsville Eastern,so how many highschool teams are there in Meigs county

One year Eastern (Pike) and Eastern (Meigs) played against each other in the districts.....both are the Eagles and both were coached by a Coach Caldwell.

We use 2 be a Football School back in the 70's Early 80's, if only they had the playoff system back then like it is 2 day!!

Yea Arch Rose would have won the state with that 10-0 team he coached in 81. Buzz Kirkhart would have won it in 71 with his 9-0 team. But politics kept them out of the playoffs both those years. It's a shame.

Agreed. And that would be at least one Football State Title in the Hocking since Trimble doesnt seem to be able to close the deal. Roger Kirkhart probably would have won one at Eastern if John Sheets hadnt ran him off.

Yea, John Sheets and Pam Douthitt both single handedly, or I guess double handedly even though they hate each other, ran every football coach off for 37 or so years. Glad they're both gone.

Just asking! Were they called Reedsville Eastern for a number of years, and now they are only called Eastern Meigs ? Or can they still be called both ?
