Saw DeSales this summer....no SE District teams above them
I dont think I'd argue with you if as a voter you didnt put a single SE team...
Just trying to give representation for their area. If no SE Dist teams hard for them to maybe argue for a player come all-state time.
I don’t know. Sheridan getting a 1st place vote is idiotic. I have no clue how many D2 teams in the state are better than Jackson.
They are just polls. Some teams and people take them very seriously, some five em a glance and some thought and some don’t care at all. It all gets settled on the court.
In D4 keep eye on those western Ohio teams I think this Columbus Grove team is a top three team along with Delphos St.Johns and in the Northeast district Richmond Hts and there aau team
Polls are fun for the kids and fans to see and gloat about but they don’t really hold much merit..
I’ll be totally honest with you.... Chillicothe is very good and hands down the best team in all of SEO.... but they are not the 7th best D1 team in Ohio. The real debate would be if they’re even the 7th best D1 school in the Columbus districts... my vote is no. Those D1’s are just simply on a different level.
Burg is having a great season but I’m sure even their coaches would tell you they’re not the best team in D3 in Ohio. If they weren’t #1 with Holden, they aren’t #1 without him. Of all the D3 teams around here I’ve seen this year I would take Peake and Fairland over Burg.... not hating, as Burg would be right there in either game.. but I’d give a slight edge to Peake and Fairland.
I have not seen them this year, but Eastern Brown has a legitimate case as the best D3 team in SEO with their lopsided wins against many very good opponents.
With that said, the D3 district games at the Convo this year are going to be spectacular. Soooo many great teams.
I agree that Sheridan getting a vote is odd, but idiotic? They came back from 11 against FU and missed a good look with under 10 secs to tie. If FU is there then Sheridan should be close, as well. You still mad about last year’s Sheridan victory against Jackson?

That’s idiotic too. I was nothing but complimentary and respectful as Sheridan beat us at the Convo.
Sheridan is a no doubt top 4 SE D2 team and a good argument for #2, but to get a vote as the #1 D2 team....in the state is idiotic.
Rankings don't mean much till the end of the year. It puts a big x on your back. Says you are pretty good with alot of support from local press and or coaches. I look at the list and see some pretty awesome teams looking in at the top 10. The rankings will change with time. Everyone just needs to plug away and learn from each game to get better for March .
Typical seops board. Never will give credit to the burgs accomplishments. They haven’t lost a game. Have beaten other ranked opponents on the road but they ain’t that good.

That's just one of the zanesville dudes voting them 1
What is “idiotic too?” FU? They have beat St Charles and Ready. Desales beat both of those but only by 10, didn’t drill them, as well as beating Tri Valley by 13. TValley is OK this year. Just sayin. The central coming to the convo is tough and the 1 seed will be the team that heads that way, South is D1, the central is beatable this year by the teams we are talking about. Jackson included.
Typical SEOPS board, stating straight facts and one kid from Burg getting butthurt. The number one team in any division doesn’t just barely squeak by 3 teams in their first 7 games. One of those being South Point
