Re: 1/18 Unioto @ Zane Trace
with it looking like little is out have to give the edge to ZT
not a lot. this will still come down down to 4th quarter
unioto's bigs can hold down inside.
just up to backcourt to step up

THAT’S how I read it ... it’s TEAM ... made up of PlayerS plural ... I’ve seen the one player teams ... not a fan ... wish the U the best - grow into TEAM ...mlittle wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 8:55 pmIf you’ve noticed Isaac and the coaches are already on track to get the team tournament ready. First 4/5 games of the season he was averaging 22-23 pts per. That average has dropped and others production has risen. First 5 games we didn’t have another kid even averaging 7 per game and now we have 4 averaging 7.5 or better. As the season progresses those number may get even tighter and then having to play without him at all now will only give them more confidence when he returns.Ironman92 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 8:48 pmI thought this as well. This unfortunate injury is a negative for now but come February will be potentially beneficial.pfloyd wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 8:25 pm Let's spin this on the positive side ! the U has HAD to play the last 2 games without Isaac Little in the lineup (full game wise) ... still 2 wins for Unioto ... new roles have already been taken on in ilittle's absence ... rotations have changed, goto guys changed, who is looked at to take the oppositions best etc. something to be said for familiarity with the given situation ... TEAM D, TEAM O ... Coach Hoops & staff will have a game plan that gives the U the chance to get a W ... in the end - sometimes TEAM gets better in these "difficult" situations ... players step up, find out that THEY are capable of more ... not going to be easy on the road BUT heck, anything in life worth having, getting, earning ain't easy ...
If they lose a couple they could drop in seeding a couple and be a tough tough out for sectional final

Wow. Strategic game planning huh? Couldn’t have been Unioto played better competition after that? Couldn’t have been the game plans from other teams shifted to taking away his strengths?mlittle wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 8:55 pmIf you’ve noticed Isaac and the coaches are already on track to get the team tournament ready. I think his unselfishness plays a big part. Isaac isn’t some unknown player who just popped up out of nowhere this year. Averaged almost 14 a game last year and was at the top of every teams scouting report. Nothing different this season. He improved vastly over the summer and I have no doubt that if he wanted to or needed to he’d average 20-22 a game. And yes we have other players who struggled early in the year who we know are important to the success of the team and we have been finding ways to get them more involved. When that happens your leading scorers point will naturally come down. Plus we aren’t a team that’s gonna score 70 a night. We’re gonna score 52 and keep Our opponents to 38. Not sure why that seems so far fetched to you.Seopnation wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 9:52 pmWow. Strategic game planning huh? Couldn’t have been Unioto played better competition after that? And I’m obviously not naive enough to think the teams we are playing don’t have an impact on his performance because they do. I’m also not trying to justify why his numbers are what they are because they’re still pretty darn good. He’s also played really really well against our toughest opponents to date. As you stated as teams take things away from him they naturally open things up for his teammates and instead of forcing his own offense he’s taking what they give. All I was trying to point out.Seopnation wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 9:52 pmWow. Strategic game planning huh? Couldn’t have been Unioto played better competition after that?
