Valley @ Minford - 1/18
Re: Valley @ Minford - 1/18
Valley misses FTs and Fouls…
Falcons shooting FTs and have wrapped this one up.
Minford was down 11 with 3 mins left in the 3rd and got after it.
Congrats to the Falcons!

Great ballgame, those boys stayed in it and didn’t give up.mglight88 wrote: Tue Jan 18, 2022 8:41 pm Great job Falcons. Down 11 pts twice and still get the win.

Valley needs to play better with the lead. Know time and score. Too many quick shots. Kill a little clock and get a good or great shot, don’t settle for first open look and rush a shot. Minford hit big shots and played tough. Good game, but hate to see valley lose that one. Gotta take better care of the ball too. Too many turnovers late.

Agree…work the clock and get a quality shot, they let Minford back in it with turnovers combined with the Falcons hustle.transplant wrote: Tue Jan 18, 2022 8:42 pm Valley needs to play better with the lead. Exactly. Can’t have empty possessions, then give up 3s on the other end. Blew 2 11 point leads. Someone needs to step up, go get the ball, get them in a set, and make a play. Just running the same motion offense isn’t going to cut it. Start playing to win instead of playing not to lose.

But give minford credit. They are a very very solid team. They did what they needed to to get back in the game, made shots, got turnovers and made their free throws.

I think the combination of those 2 things were it…Minford staying in what they were, running the offense.
The 2 losses (Waverly/Minford) you really saw Valley tighten up there at the end.
