The SE’s 7 seed just missed beating DeSales last year, having the ball down 1 with 10 seconds left. They ended up as State Runner-Up, but I guess that’s not competing.

Let me help you with your knowledge, or lack there of! When you say never The southeast already has 2 state titles out of DII. 1988 Division II State Champion Portsmouth Trojans and 2008 Division II State Champion Chillicothe Cavaliers. Since the inception of the 4 divisions in Ohio basketball, there have only been 21 schools crowned as Division II State Champions. Akron St. Vincent St. Mary has won 6 of those and Dayton Dunbar won 4. So, the southeast district teams winning 2 state titles are basically 10% of the schools that have won state titles in DII in this great state. you are welcome!
