Minford @ South Webster 2/18

Why do people say Team X wants it more or Team Y has more to gain? If every game isn't really important to a high school player there's something wrong. I think Minford is the better team by 10 points or so but if the Jeeps play really well they can get this one. Might come down to who is healthiest and manages foul trouble.

What does minford have to gain by winning? They already have the chip. Oh they might have to share? Big deal.
SW hasn’t got the chip in 19 years.

Unless players are nursing an injury or sickness and want to get well before the tournament, quality teams and coaches try very hard to win every game. This isn't the NBA. I'll be surprised and disappointed if both teams don't compete as hard as they can.

Go out the back by the dome, turn right, turn right (gazebo), turn left at the Chevy Dealerships. Bingo bongo. Back from whence you came.

Just looked at the area around the high school right or left off of Jeep Dr. onto Webster should do it ... because there are usually people parked blocking the "way I come in" & I park in the parking lot outside of the gym entrance ... I go around the back of the school turn into the parking lot and say "hmmm this doesn't look familiar" I never go as far as Webster St. ... this time I will down Jeep Dr. then go right, and right again at N.Jackson to come out right beside Hanes Dealership ...

How are the roads on 140? the high waters gone down? I'll be coming down 93 to 140 outside Oak Hill ... don't what to run into high water which is a distinct possibility on either 93 out of Jackson and 140 going to S. Webster ... almost an hour and a half drive on the nose ... forecast for tomorrow is just cold - shouldn't be ice on the back roads still? ...

I'll start plotting my post season tour for later this week and early next week before camping out at the Convo for the District Finals ... love this time of the year !!!

This is also one of my favorite times of the year! Once tournaments start, you look down the brackets and ask yourself which school has the potential to pull off an upset. Will a school that had a rough regular season be able to make a Cinderella run? Kids giving it everything they have to make it to the Convo...the mecca of Southeastern Ohio! Future NBA stars have ran up and down the same floor as these kids will be doing! Nothing better than seeing the pure joy on each kid's face after advancing to play another day, yet your heart aches for the sorrow on the face of each kid walking off the court in defeat. Although this is the pinnacle of the HS basketball season, it is also bittersweet knowing the season is wrapping up in the next few weeks for most (hopefully not all) schools in the SE district and we have to wait another 8 months or so for a new season to begin. At least we know warmer weather and longer days are on the horizon. Let's hope mother nature doesn't mess with the weather too much these next couple weeks because as sweet Lou likes to say, "it's basketball:30!!!!"

I think both teams come to play. This Minford group has always had SW's number. Much like Burg did in softball. Similarly, Falcons probably are the better team and win 9 times out of 10. Burg run ruled SW in softball just about every game. But every once in awhile one team isn't on their game and the other does what it needs to get a win. Literally sometimes the ball bounces your way and anything can happen. Pleasantly hoping that happens tonight for the Jeeps and they get the upset.

Idk we beat them last year and Eli dropped 30 on them as a freshman at the nest and beat them. I’m looking forward to it. Hope nobody’s sitting in my seat I won’t get there till 6:30 at best.

This is the last game for these seniors to play on their home court, should be playing with a different intensity tonight.
However, there's a rumor lingering that the Jeeps will be down a starter tonight due to illness, can anyone confirm? If so Stephens and McClintic will both have to step up big for the Jeeps.

It is confirmed, Mault for the Jeeps is out tonight. Might hurt the Jeeps, but will still hang around. Barnard, Shupert, and Stephens will need to combine for about 26 points. Gonna be a good one!
