Wow...I just assumed Ironton had a plan in place (i.e. somebody already lined up). Sounds like that not the case, so will be interesting to hear who the pick is.*

I’d take this guy over Fitch. Just my opinion.

I’m hearing it’s Barnes and if that’s the case.... it’s absolutely not an upgrade over Fitch. Not even close.

Other than Barrick/Persin, not to many coaches have the resume / pedigree that Fitch has (in terms of longevity, wins, district titles etc).

End of the day this job ended up getting wayyyyyy less applicants than the AD planned. They expected a home run hire and from everything I’m hearing, they are not getting that.

I’m going to guess it’s the guy from South Point.

That happens almost everywhere. Pipe dream for a lot of these schools. Most of the powers in charge don’t understand this and are clueless Good luck to all 👍

Barnes did a great job at ISJ the past two years. If the ISJ job is truly open then I will be the first to start the rumor Norm to ISJ

Not sure but would love to see a former player who is not a teacher apply. Smartest player that we had when I was on staff.

Who's on Adena's radar?

From my understanding, Ryan Ohlaker (sp.?), McClain JV coach, will be the next Adena coach.

Not a head coach move, but heard Burg assistant coach Travis Bradford (former Sciotoville East and Portsmouth West head coach) heading to Portsmouth Notre Dame as an assistant coach. His son will be a freshman there, so the move makes sense. Solid addition for ND basketball*

Coach Olaker has had a heck of a 2 week stretch if this is the case. From being on the board minutes to be hired at McClain to now Adena is pretty rapid movement for HS Athletics.

He’s a good coach, so that would be a good hire.
