The Burg played a great quarter and a half, but they couldn't get anything to fall in the first few minutes and got down 8-0 quickly. Bendoplh scored all 12 points in the 1st quarter and the Pirates had a 4 point lead at one time in the 2nd. This game is going to go right down to the wire and free throws will decide it one way or the other.

And both of those Burg teams finished the regular season at 9-11. The last time it happened the Pirates made it all the way to the regional finals.

State Rankings mean squat. it's just a popularity contest based on promotion by sportswriters. Oak Hill was not even remotely a top 10 Div III team - as tonight bore out. It was an upset, but if they had blown out the Burg by 30 the previous 2 meetings then yes, it would be considered huge.

Doesn't matter anyway, the Burg won so let's move on.
