I knew the Pirates would make this one a game..Great job by the Pirates of staying confident even though they got down double figures. Many teams would quit or let up, but not Tom Barrick-Coached team.

I think for the Burg to win that Andrew Bendolph must have a good scoring game........otherwise, I just don't think the Pirates will have enough offense to beat the Oaks.......if AB scores 15-20 points, WHS could pull off the W.......

Right here is the post that nailed it on the head. Like trojandave said, Bendolph needed to show up and man did he ever show up. Probably one of the best shooting performances I've ever seen out of a Burg player in a huge game.

Differences in the game IMO was when Ondera went out and OH unable to connect from the FT line. I also think that putting Bendolph on Ondera totally took him out of his game. How many did he score in the 2nd half?


Great job Pirates and great season Oaks. Every game has to have a loser and a winner. Tonight the Burg just happened to rise to the occasion.

Let me say, the BURG fans have been around all year! So please don't say that they are fairweather...the fans are great in Burg. Fact is: Burg flat out got it done tonight...WOW...You all played with pure heart...and besides a bad 3rd quarter played awsome! Oak Hill fans shouldn't be whining..they had a great season and have nothing to be ashamed of. Burg deserved this...GO Burg! What a great win tonight!

Congrats to wheelersburg, it's darn near impossible to beat a Barrick coached team three times in one year and there's a reason why. Like someone said earlier, playing wheelersburg in the second round should concern any coach, I know I wouldn't want to do it if I were a coach.

Which player is Bendolph..I watched the rock hill game and the center was the most athletic player from what I saw...was that him..or was it one of the little guards...didn't get a program..sorry..didn't know their names..However...great job burg
