Appears West Union only played 19 games. Finished 1-18

Cincinnati.com is another great site for stats and scores (Girls and Boys). Most schools post game-by-game stats on their site. They make it easy for the coaches to plug in the information at their convinence.
Their records are wrong. Ripley lost to whiteoak in double OT on Jan. 17th

And then there were 5....the Blue Jays gets thumped by nearly 40 and the Hounds survive the Lions one of the best SHL games of the season.

If the Blue Jays were allowed to fly east in the tourney, they'd make some noise.

Division 3 in the Southeast District is very tough, I doubt Ripley would make much noise.

They would make a lot more noise than they do in the southwest. They would have won a sectional title and been in contention for a district title this year. Plus, the fact that they have to win 3 rounds to take home a title in the southwest makes the southeast look a little more appealing im sure.

Tribe, this is my first post to this site but I follow along. Down here in Blue Jay land we go through this all the time. Run a pretty decent regular season record to a low seed in the southwest and go up against an O.J. Mayo, Bill Walker led North College Hill or Taft or the North College Hill Team last night. I would love to see us move to the southeast but I do not know how that happens. Eastern used to be in the southwest and they made the move. Maybe the AD has to petition OHSAA. With all other SHL schools (except Fayetteville) going southeast, I would like to stick with you guys.

the southwest does not recognize a sectional championship per se. there the district championship consists of one game instead of two like the southeast. many of the district games are played between dayton and cincinnati teams.

Shame to see Whiteoak exit the season by such a wide margin. The Wildcats play a tough schedule every year, and they're always better than their record indicates. They did beat Ripley this season, remember.

Who has any info on this Iles kid. Isnt this like the 2nd/3rd time he has scored around 40 in a game this year? Fayetteville must be playing some good ball right now. Middletown Christian was a pretty decent team at 13-8. Looking at their schedule they appear to be comparable to a Lynchburg Clay/Fairfield.

If i'm not mistaken, it's up to the superintendent of the school district as well as the school board. I'm sure OHSAA has to approve or has the final say though. I know someone who served on the Ripley school board at one time and said that she and other members tried to convince the superintendent to switch to SE. I can't remember the guys name to save my life but he rejected. One of his reasons was that he wanted to give the athletes a challenge and switching them would give a wrong impression or something along those lines.

IMO, I think Ripley would easily win sectional in the SE but after that it would be pretty tough for them.

i believe ripley and fayetteville have both petitioned to go to the southeast. both se and sw have plenty of d3 and d4 teams so ibelieve there would have to a big discrepancy iin the number of teams for this to ever occur. i doubt that eastern brown ever advanced very far in the sw.
i believe ripley has been to the regionals one time. in the sw sometimes it is a major accomplishment to just win one game. look at western brown in the sw d1 they have a couple of and 17 and 18 win seasons and get killed in the first round.

Schedule on page 1 lists district finals as Friday March 10, actually Saturday March 10.
