I agree Bounce, scored 81pts. and still showed alot of patience on offense,Wayne Evans was on fire scored 25pts I believe, and did not take one bad shot.Trey Underwood is a man down low,Dion Mckinely is probably the most skilled big in the S.E.O,but is still raw, Andrew Bendolph is a treat to watch, without a doubt the best pure pt. guard in the S.E.O. and coach Collins is doing a great job just letting them play to their strengths.Bounce wrote:Had a chance to watch the Trojans great job. It look as if they are a team not worried about who scores. JV didn't do bad had a couple of shooters Keep it up TROJANS

The rotation is 8 deep now, with all others playing jvs,I think that is very smart on the coaches part ,evryone on the varsity rooster plays big minutes on every scheduled game night whether jv or varsity.
Re: Portsmouth Trojans (8-4) (3-2) 2010-2011
sure is good to have ANdrew back, not only does he add with his scoring, ball handling and defense, he takes a load off the other shooters as well, Wayne has had some open shots in the last two games, that he is not used to seeing, and he has taken fulll advantage of it.
with bendolph in the line up for 2 games we have scored 70 plus points in both games

Re: Portsmouth Trojans (13-4) (7-2) 2010-2011
If the Trojans can win out to go 16-4, it will be the best regular season mark since 1991, when PHS tallied an 18-2 mark........the 1999 and 2001 Trojans both went 15-4 in the regular season, both went to the regionals, with the final records being 18-5 and 19-5 respectively.......the 2001 team had to play two sectional games, while the 1999 squad only played 1.........the 1991 team finished 22-3, which was also the last Portsmouth team to win 20 or more games.

Re: Portsmouth Trojans (15-4) (9-2) 2010-2011
Sorry, Jottings, don't have the final reserve score.
Portsmouth winning at Logan gave the Trojans' their 15th win on the season........it marks the 36th time in school history that a Portsmouth boys basketball team has won at least 15 games.
Also, the victory over Logan gave Portsmouth a two-year sweep of Logan, Gallia Academy, Marietta, and Jackson........going 16-0 over that time.
If the Trojans defeat Warren to go 16-4, it will give PHS its best regular season mark since 1991. The 1999 and 2001 teams both went 15-4, and both won district titles.
