All Jay Kline needs is a kid that can shoot, and a kid that can jump, and Nelsonville will claim the D-III state title. Just a matter of time before he/she guarantees it, AGAIN. :shock:

Just imagine that 1990-1991 Vinton County team being coached by a Matt Combs' type of coach, whew what a run they could've made. :shock:

Oh well got to go with Matt, but Kline is a class act!

I can't believe no one has said the other Coach Caldwell from Southern! Look at the job he has done in just his first year there!

I'd rate Caldwell and Combs as the two best in the conference. Howie has been around(stomping holes in gym floors) since the beginning of time, and Combs has established quite a successful tradition at VC. They're both great game coaches and really gets the best out of their players.

Although he might not have the history or winning percentage, Blaine Gabriel at Alexander would be my vote for third place. He's does a really nice job with the Spartans.

not butters. he was stupid. he thought Ny was going places without Jay Kline.

I like Ny but they have sucked without Jay Kline as coach. they lost all their best players...had a joke of a jv team...no freshmen helping on varsity...and he came back with nearly the same record as the team had the year before.

the man needs some talent and some time. he can't develop talent overnite. watch and see when this years soph class is seniors. his sons class will be sophs..the jrs will be decent..and the sophs are solid. he will win the league that year. 2 years from now..winter of 2010...Ny wins the league if Jay Kline is coaching. people will hate him then for running up the score even though he wont be.

These can not be serious posts. I have never seen someone have a "man crush" like this before. By the way LOOK AT NELSONVILLES RECORD!!!!!! They are not very good. If Kline was half the coach you said he was they would have a much better record. For example Bobby Knights 1st year at Texas Tech they won over 20 games the previous year they won 5 or 6 and lost their high scorer. This is what Great Coaches do. They win with what they have. Kline is not a bad coach but nowhere near the top in the TVC. Combs, Gabriel and Meigs coaches are all better. Stop cupping his grapes and sniffing his jock at the games and you would see what everyone else knows. :oops:

Oh, and I'll stick by my original prediction. Bob Vales in a UFC fight against any TVC boys BB coach. Vales would destroy all comers....

uhh...where have you been...he does all that twice a day. Yet he cannot seem to figure out how to beat Vinton, Alex, or Belpre...hmm... :lol:

steely dan if it is a fight then i want miller's coach. i do not know his name but he is huge. looks like a bouncer. my bet is he is tough. i would pay to see or on ppv. can you set it up? :lol:

Bob knight coaches college fools. he can recruit high shcool and juco. of course he can turn it around. want Jay Kline to recruit morans?

of course bob knight only has 912 college wins and is the youngest college coach of all time and 3 national championships. how does that compare to finishing last in the tvc? does not stand up as even to me! indiana NEVER dared fire jay kline!

never said Jay Kline was better than Knight. said Jay Kline is best in tvc. he had less talent than most jv teams and finished 5th in the tvc ohio..not last. he beat miller twice and split with trimble. he had easily the worst roster in the tvc and made them not the worst team or even that close to it. alexander was on the ropes.

are morans from northern athens county? their queen is erin moran and they listen to moran moran. but they can not play basketball or ref an honest game but they can coach... take your meds your head will feel better.

never said those teams recruit. teams have recruited in the past. either that or parents bounce around from school to school to find right coach.

once Ny rebuilds the gym. kids will be flocking to play for Jay Kline and play on the good football stadium. good football and basketball players...guys who play both sports...will want to be at Ny.

Ny if they stay smart with Jay Kline will be the powerhouse of southeastern ohio. it will be pfloyd's Ny and other teams.
