The boys from Alexander showed what hard work and tough defense can do for a team. Seth Richardson hit some big shots in the first half. The Kelley kid did a great job defending Mason Chapman. But once the Spartans got a lead they were able to play discipline basketball. The kids executed the game plan and won a sectional title.
Have to give the Minford cheering section "thumbs up". They were loud and into the game the whole night. Even when Minford was down 10 they were rocking the place. It made for a fun environment.

I believe Minford went up 17-11 and then Alexander went on about a 12-0 run (or something like that).
The Spartans got up 9-10-11 points late in the 3rd and basically decided that they were not gonna let Minford have the ball enough to make a run. Extremely disaplined and other than a couple of travels very protective of the basketball.
The man that needs a raise in Albany is the dude running the weight room. Alexander has some muscle.
