Belpre@Warren
Re: Belpre@Warren
I did not attend the game, but i GUARANTEE Belpre got outcoached. Belpre is going to have to be 3x more talented than the other team to win a game, because of their poor coaching.

What a shock!!!! Belpre fans crying about being out coached. How about being beat by a team thats more talented. You disrespect the kids from the other team every time you complain about the coaching or refs costing you the game. Grow up and face facts your team, allthough fighting hard, is not as talented as your opposition. Give credit where it is due and please, please quit trying to find a scapegoat.

Re: Belpre@Warren
Neither team played a grand game, however, Warren doesnt quit...Belpre is much improved from last season and their defense was pretty good all night.
BUT, the only thing that matters is the W, and it still belongs to the Warriors. Hebb came on late and struggling early, Fivecoait showed flashes of brilliance (ok, maybe not quite brilliance, but...) but was in foul trouble throughout the second half. Venham rebounded well.
Warriors entertain Marietta at the Coliseum next week.
Did anybody else see the "Coach Plummer Bleeds Blue" sign behind the Warren student section? The kids were kinda covering it up, but I thought that was pretty good.

I am not trying to find a scapegoat. Warren was probably more talented than Belpre, i dont really know, i wasnt at the game, but i didnt have to be at the game to know Belpre got outcoached, lol because it happens every game. I give credit to Warren for the W, a hard fought win, and i think there 5th or 6th straight over the Eagles. I am not complaining about the refs, i did not attend the game, so i dont know how the refs were.

Re: Belpre@Warren
The refs definitely didn't show flashes of brilliance.
Neither side got the call when they wanted it, and there were some definite misses both ways.
I think they balanced out the calls, though, they had minimal impact on the game.

I only got to the game in time to see the 4th quarter. From what i saw Belpre started to play harder in the last quarter than what it looked like. This group of players are talented and no one should underestimate them, i've watched them play since 3rd and 4th grade this team has talent they just need to work together and play as a team and it will all come together. I'm sure Belpre will make it closer next time, warren doesn't look as dominant as they had in the past couple years.
Re: Belpre@Warren
Like I said Belpre will get better, this is a good Warren basketball team and from what I am hearing Belpre came on strong in the end. Against Meigs, not taken anything away from Meigs, but if Belpre would have had a couple less turnovers and made there foulshots they would have won, Belpre shot 41% at the foul line against Meigs

Re: Belpre@Warren
Congrats to the Warriors on a great Win. Both teams are very young and will be much better the next time around. It looked a lot like an early season basketball game. Hebb did not play well for Warren (may have had something to do with Loyland swatting the ball away repeatedly) but he will. Tate did not have a great game either for Belpre, probably from great in your face team defense.
I'm not a basketball guru but I didn't see where Coach Plummer got outcoached. Maybe if he was not a Warren grad he would be accepted in Belpre.

It is so sad that the only thing that Belpre fans focus on is the coaching. I remember EaglePawPaw and Prodigy from last year bashing the coach over and over. It is so time to move on, support the team, and get over the pettiness.
The Belpre team deserves support from their fans. Your input probably hurts the team more than Coach Plummer. You are promoting disunity.
Go Belpre!!!!
Belpre played well against Warren. Warren played a little better with a stronger bench. Belpre was not outcoached. Sometimes teams lose-- a fact of life!

Good post checkmate27. It is time that the fans support the Eagles instead of gripes, complaints about the coach. Who plays or doesn't play, etc. This kids deserve the fans support.
GO EAGLES!!!

Re: Belpre@Warren
Coach Plummer is a good coach!-Belpre was considerably more competitive and played decent (for an early-season game) fundamental ball.
You Belpre fans are destined to blame everything on the coach. Save that for tournament play in February.
Best of luck to both teams as they work toward their next matchup.

Re: Belpre@Warren
2 things Belpre needs to work on, unforced turnovers and making their foul shots. They improve those 2 things and they will improve on last year's record.
Belpre went into the double bonus with 4:35 left in the 4th. This is a huge advantage. Sadly, they were only able to go 2-8 from the line. I think this hurt them. Forced to foul with the score difference at 5 and Warren made their foul shots.
Warren has a nice team. Good size and some shooters that had a nice touch on the ball at times. Coach Maddox has a nice program going out there.
I think Belpre is improved over last year. If they stay healthy and stay out of foul trouble they will have a good year.
Give coach Plummer a break, 12-8 last year in his first season is not bad. He is trying to build a program and we should all be patient.
Good game Belpre, don't hang your heads and good game to Warren. It is early in the season and both teams will improve.

Since this is your first post how do you know who posted what last year unless your hiding your true identity under a new screename.Just because someone disagrees with what a coach does and points out his mistakes doesn't mean they are bashing him and has nothing to do with weather or not they support the kids on the team. You don't have to agree with the coach just like you don't have to agree with the refs.Coaches are like refs, they have the title but that doesn't make them a good coach or a good ref. Coaching or reffing didn't lose the game for Belpre tonight Warren played better tonight when they had to. Belpre just made to many turnovers and didn't get the job done on defense especially against Ellenwood,Venham and Fivecoaite.Belpre did play well in the 2nd half and made it a closer game than the score indicates. They are getting better and the wins will come.
