Maybe I read it wrong, but I think the intention of fragasaurusflex's post was sarcasm toward some of the D3 super school posters on this forum.*

If that's the case Art, then fragasaurusflex did a poor job of getting across the sarcasm. I've seen plenty of those D3 vs D4 posts in the Oak Hill thread, but not in this one. So i'm unsure why fragasaurusflex would post that is this thread. The Oak Hill thread would have been more appropriate.
I didn't see the sarcasm at all. Maybe a rolling eye emoticon - or something along those lines - would have gotten the point across better if sarcasm was the intent.

Sorry, I forgot we aren't playing Wii or X-Box 360 "Old School All Star Days". This 2010 Southern team will win by 5 IMO.
I would like to see a few more former Tornadoes at the games supporting our kids, we use to have the biggest crowd around, now we are out numbered at the games. Come on fans lets pack the convo.
When they get to a game that actually means something we will come. Those names do get me jacked up bout almost winnin the state though.

Valley, waverly, oak hill. All at home. Webster undefeated on the road. Kinda strange.

fragasaurusflex wrote:After reading a few of the other posts one thing stands out in stark relief: neither of these teams could possibly survive the caliber of competition in D3. Average teams ascend to the status of world beaters once D3 tournament play begins. Devoted fans of these meta-teams sneeringly deride the very mention of, ahem, D (holding my nose as I type) 4. Everyone knows that despite often playing in the same conferences as those poor old D4 squads, just about any D3 dream team would run the table all the way to the state championship if they slummed it in, yes, D4. At any rate, good luck to both South Webster and Southern. May the better team (at least on game day) show their true colors with class and graciousness. Be happy guys, either of your respective programs would be easy pickings-instant outs if they dared add enough boys to compete with the big dogs. Beware the D3-3D mojo-no-go nightmare little fellas!
Dont know what school you pretend to represent but my money would be on either team against yer school especially if me and Willy Cheatem are the refs.

Der, um - Jeep80, I'm not sure what might have given it away that I was referring to other posts (and not this post/thread) save for the following quote: "After reading a few of the other posts..."
Looks like a little of the "lone star" is rubbing off on you there Tex. : )
In truth, I was simply amused by those contentions (D3>D4 ad nauseam), and this is. last time I checked, a D4 thread. Again, best of luck to both teams (although I'm a little partial to the Jeeps - owing to my Scioto County roots). As a newb to this forum, I would like to say that I have a lot of respect for a site that is so supportive of local communities, and you loyal posters should be commended (yes, you too Jeep80).

Oops, my apologies. I guess I just missed the sarcasm.
You'll like the sight. as you can tell, a lot of us are passionate about our schools. And there are some who just LOVE to stir the pot. Based on your post, you will fit in just fine

Re: Southern vs South Webster
If webster plays the way they did in the second half tonight against OH, look out d4. But have to do it for 4 quarters instead of 2.

I hope Southern wins but they will have to play an A game. South Webster's schedule is brutal in the SOC2. They have tough games night after night. If Southern can reduce the turnovers they have a shot!!!! If not, SW could win by alot!!!

Good poetry!!
Hoping for another exciting Tornadoe win
Re: Southern vs South Webster
Southern by 1/2....they play too close to the Convo. JK. I really dont care. Was just bored.
Re: Southern vs South Webster
Turnovers will be Southerns downfall. They had 20 against cheaspeake on thurs. Careless telegraphing passes. #3 bounce passes all year.

GWA, you do realize that two or three starters sat out of that game right?

Re: Southern vs South Webster
so your saying Southerns secondary players aren't that good with the ball? that's where Webster beats them. Anybody on Websters bench (besides JV) could start in place of the starters on any given day.

Re: Southern vs South Webster
No I'm saying that they had two or three starters out and were playing with younger players who did well against a very tall and talented Peake team. I believe Peake has a lot more height then you so I don't think that's going to be a factor.
Nice try though wanker.

So you just qualified my statement. Webster has the best bench I have seen this year out of everyone we have played.
