I would have answered sparky, but I'm not sure about the league championships. I know Peebles won the Sectional in 1999, 2001 (I think), 2002, 2003, 2008, 2010, and won the league in 1972, 1977, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, and 1992 (wearetheindians.org).

There's a gap in my immediate knowledge from when I went to college, but I think 2009 and 2010 were the first SHL championships for the Indians since 92.

District championships are easier to remember--1974, 1984, and about five district finals lost on the last shot.

Solid win for the Indians against Fairfield tonight(69-45). Played a little sloppy but still got the job done playing everyone on the bench big minutes. Andy Countryman was the leading scorer with 20pts followed by Blake Justice with 16 and Jacob Daniels with 11. Peebles JV won 52-34 and the freshman team lost(not sure of the score).

Good win for the Indians, I really like how coach Arey has them playing defense.... Also liked the music during player intros.

I agree....Our defense is pretty solid and Jarrod Mason does a great job with the pre-game music.

Definately. This week will be a HUGE test for the Indians as it pits them against a CNE team, which is very physical and one that thinks some questionable calls gave the hounds the win in their matchup at Manchester, and Ripley who are the favorites in the big division and have been blowing out the teams they have played so far. Should be an interesting week to say the least.

Up 61-40@ end of the third. Countryman comes alive with 2 threes, then takes a hit to the face on a layup...followed by calmly sinking two free throws.

TribeManiac10 wrote::lol: Dont ask me why but I was checking the massey rating system on highschoolsports.net and it said if Peebles played New Richmond this season the Indians would be favored 66-2. Talk about being considered underdogs. ;-) I would also like to add that it only had the Indians favored by 9 against CNE and we won by 26 going fairly deep on the bench so that New Richmond estimate might be low on our end....just some random info. that I found funny.
nice.

I'm not sure on all the stats but I think Andy Countryman had 25 points. That is 29, 20 & 25 points through three games so far this season. So far Andy and Tyler McFarland are doing a fine job picking up the slack from Andrew Seaman of last year.

I would definately agree. This team has an oppurtunity to make some noise this season.

There are 5 guys on this team that could get you twenty: Blake, Andy, Tyler, Jacob Daniels, and Trent (this may sound like a nepotism pick, but Trent has yet been asked to score in his HS career...he's a true point guard in that he's unselfish).
